Need an opinion on KWA vs SRC g36
I've been looking to get into the sport for a long time now. I have a friend who's been playing for sometime and is a good point for advice, but I've decided to reach out here for some opinions on my first purchase.
I've narrowed down my choices to either a new KWA or SRC. I've been leaning most heavily on the G36C. If I went SRC I might go with a G36K instead for the extra barrell length and the built in scope. I've searched on here and other places on the web for comparisons and i haven't been able to find much. I have seen one or 2 lean towards the KWA over the SRC but I don't know if thats based of the Gen 2 SRC or the 3 (since it seems they've made many improvements with the gen 3's). An SRC/KWA M4 might also be an acceptable gun, but i really do prefer the G36 models. Basically i'd just love to hear from anyone that owns any of these models: KWA G36C SRC G36C/K Gen 3 KWA or SRC M4 Just want to know what you think of them, are you happy with them, etc. If anyone does have hands on experience comparing the 2 brands I'd love to hear from you too. Thanks in advance for any help. |

The HK 36 or the airsoft version g36 was going to be my second choice. That KWA gun looks nice and has some good reviews on buy airsoft canada.

While I don't own either (I have a CA G36), from what I've heard they're both pretty decent, though I'd lean on the SRC side.

I don't have either one also, I have a TM G36C. But my buddy bought the SRC version and it crapped out after 100 or so rounds. He's supposed to bring it to me so I can check it out but he hasn't yet, so I don't know what's wrong with it.

I own a Gen III G36k, and I really don't think you can go wrong with this gun; any questions about the quality of the internals are over as these things seems to be rock solid and dependable. Just be aware that the integragted scope on the K is garbage (mine didn't adjust) so I am switching to C style handle. So if your are buying the K solely for the scope, don't, but if you want the extra length, go for it.

The integrated export sight on practically every airsoft G36 is crap. The ones on the CA and STAR's are really sharp and clear, but the eye relief is beyond crap. Like you can't use it with googles crap. The field of view is really bad too. I replaced the carry handle on mine with a standard SL-8 rail.

With the G36K I am getting I am putting a Eotech on the rail above the scope. So I can spot with the scope mainly. Other than that I have heard good things about SRC's gen 3

If you wan't something with a long barrel go for a full size G36. However, if you're still talking about airsoft guns in terms of "firepower" I highly advise you read ALL of the stickies here in the newbie tank.

I am also deciding whether to get a SRC G36K or KWA G36C. Which would be worth the money:
a) SRC G36K (no upgrades) ($420 shipped) b) KWA G36C (would get G36K front kit+longer barrel) ($530 shipped) c) Since I'm looking for accuracy and range, would it make sense to just get a SRC G36 ($420 shipped) I heard KWA has better externals and about the same grade internals as SRC. If I went with option B I would obviously be paying a lot more, and would the G36K even have that much more range than the G36C? I'm a smaller guy, so C might not be the best for me... What option do you think is best? |

A G36c with a decent barrel and hop-up rubber will be much more accurate then a stock barrel K.
Barrel length doesn't play that much of a part in accuracy, barrel quality much more so.
