m4 battery placement

I just put a ris on my m4 carbine and as a result need a new place for my battery. I would like to know opinions on battery storage. its the 9.6v 1100mah one that came with the gun.
my options are
1. peq box
2. ready mag system
3. rewire to the back inside crane stock
4. rewire to the back inside a pouch of some sort
5. other???

A AN/PEQ would be the simplest option if you are already front wired. I am personally not a fan of the ready mag system and options 4 and 5 are pretty much the same thing minus the difference in cost of materials. My vote is for rear wiring and crane stock.

Ok, I havent seen your specific front end but depending on battery pack type you may be able to disect it and reconfigure to it fit your gun.

Is it a 2/3 or AA based pack?

For example it was possible to fit 16 AA batteries in my ICS M4A1 also with a weird 3+3+1+1 config you can fit 8 AA in a ICS CXP front end.

So... get some loose dead batteries of you type, a role of electric tape and improvise

PS Take into account the bulge created when you tape the connector...
You might be surprised

Dont take no shit from a machine!!!

Cheers Mate

If you like crane stocks, buy the G&P stock, comes with 9.6v or 8.4v 2200mah batteries. However 1/4 G&P batteries is a total dud.
I prefer AN/PEQ's, but the custom made 9.6v NIMH batteries are pricey. But if you convert to LiPo, you could use 7.4v 20C 1600mah batteries at $9 each

I'm a fan of the fullstock and rear wired option. This gives you the ability to put a large type, high mAh battery back there, and not have to worry about your battery dying mid fight.

I'm not a big fan of PEQ boxes but if your lazy then PEQ box is proberly your only option unless you can fit a battery into the RIS. Otherwise, crane stock is the way to go.

I say go with the crane stock or the #4 idea is a good one as well.
