King Arms M203 Round Help needed

Just got a set of king Arms Xm 1060 Grenades and like the tool that I am, I let curiosity get the better of me and un-screwed the shell... needless to say the bearings fell out and now I see on King Arms site that a Re-load tool is needed to get the bearings back in!

What I want to know is, if there is any work around so I don't need to order said Re-load tool. I saw a post for Classic army shells( http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthr...ht=m203+repair) where that person did the same as me. Are they similar at all? Could I use the solution in that post with my KA Rounds?

Yes that will work. That is how most/all M203 shells are built.

you don't need a tool. just dab a bit of grease on the bearings and they'll stay put.

+1 on the grease, that's how I do it
Also, they sell rebuild kits (FINALLY), incase you lost any pieces

BTW... is it normal for the Inner valve (not sure what to call it.... its the bit the bearings sit in with the bigger O-ring around it that plugs into the gas chamber) to un-sit itself, pinching the O-ring after every shot? Im having to Un-screw the shells and re-set the Inner Valve manually after every shot, or I can't fill it back up.
I've put a bit of grease on the o-ring in one of them in hopes that it'll stop the O-ring from pinching when it tries to sit back in the chamber. I got a game tomorrow, so fingers crossed!

they are finnicky, i have one grenade that blows the Oring into the chamber each time I use it, so :S

Thanks for all the info! One more question: The 203 launcher I have is a made-in-China cheapo I got off of Ebaybanned; worked fine with a short (also made in china) shell I got with it, but with the King Arms XM's I've had to stick a bit of tape on the percussion cap so the Launchers firing pin can push it in... otherwise its too short and wont set off the round.

Wondering if this is a common thing with King Arms shells, the XM design in particular, or my cheapo launcher. I suspect the later, but Im not to knowledgeable about all the different manufactures, hence the question.

my launcher has a screw in the firing pin that can adjust for length of the push needed, so Id assume its a problem with your launcher just not pushing far enough

different launchers are made for different shells so the firing pin isn't always going to be long enough.

if memory serves, the KA valves require a longer firing pin than a madbull. (needs to be pushed in further)

you could make some metal slugs about 5mm and glue/jbweld it to the back of the valve. would be more consistent than a wad of tape.
