You can use either:

http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/?filn...s/fps_calc.htm

or

http://www.bbbastard.com/index.php?o...d=53&Itemid=57

to preform your calculations.

Be warned, game hosts will generally not allow the use of a gun with that high of an FPS.

FPS doesn't matter when you're using heavy BB's, the heavier BB's will lose much less impact energy over the flight path as the light BB's.

FPS means nothing, it's all about flight path and stability.

Please dont think that using a heavier BB will mean your shots wont carry less power. The FPS may read lower but the joules (impact force) increases with the heavier weight.

Im gonna assume that you are new to the sport. Why do you want to get a bolt action? Please read through the forums and see why new people are GREATLY discouraged from getting bolt actions as a first gun if you intend to game them. Get an AEG, gain experience and become familiar with the players in your area so once you are ready to operate a bolt action everyone knows you, knows your safe and feels comfortable with you shooting a hot gun as you will need to shoot hotter in order to make it somewhat fair at your lose of rate of fire.

Besides the KJW M700 has an adjustment screw that lets you lower and raise your FPS. When you see an FPS limit its always with .20 BBs.

my last gun was a well mb03 and i liked it, but i never got to use it in a game, cuz it broke. so im buying this gun,. ive tried aegs, i dont like em cuz i kill everyone. its to easy. it just wasnt fun for me, sniping is. ive only ever got to borrow my friends snipers but i still thought it was fun.

plus im getting it for my birthday so im not paying for it, so i can save my money for an aeg.

ASC maintains the ideal that airsoft should only be owned and used by those of the age of majority.

Because paintball already has its own dedicated legislation and they're not "replica firearms" where our toys can be seen as that.

because for paintball you are using markers that dont looks anything like a real gun and it shoots paint, Airsoft guns are for the msot part replica firearms, the last thing needed for this sport is some kid getting ahold of airsoft guns and using them in public and ruining the sport for the rest of us.

Hey, just so everyone knows incase you dont, a gas gun will have more energy efficiency with a heavier bb. My short answer to the question, with a 550fps with .2g bb, when you put a .43gram bb, my guess would be, it would shoot between 425-450fps, having a higher energy than if you were to shoot .2gram bb.

A couple weeks ago I did testing in my basement, Here are my results

Gun: KJ M700 takedown
Airs supply: Custom Made CO2 rig, with adjustable pressure
Chrony: Styrak's Madbull Chrony.

Results
At 90Psi (about what propane will shootout sometimes)
.2g bb at 505fps
.28g bb at 470fps

At 100Psi
.2g bb at 550fps
.28g bb at 505fps

Welcome to 2 years ago.

Heavier BB stays in barrel longer and builds up pressure.
