G&G GR16 R4 fires 6 shots, then dies??
I finally got my GR16 with the 10.5" barrel from Velocity Arms, and after giving the battery a bit of a charge, I hooked up the battery, filled up one of my PMAGs, and proceeded to dump off some rounds down my acreage, only after firing what seemed like 6 rounds, the gun just stopped working whatsoever. no noise from the gearbox or motor, and I've checked the fuse, the wiring, and the battery, but it just doesn't want to work.
Anyone have any ideas?? |

Probably a stupid question but did you check for jamming?

I did, I even used my goofy little un-jammer rod on it, but to no avail.
I should probably mention that I couldn't get it opened up, it was like the upper and lower were glued together, even with both pins removed. |

there might be clips in it make sure there is cause if u lose patience for it and try to pull it apart u might find your self having to glue somthing.

Battery has been sitting on the trickle charger all day, and with this thing working on a half-charge, there's no reason it won't on a full charge. I also just checked the motor, everything looks good. I'm beginning to think it's a gearbox problem, but with not being able to open the gun up, I can't be sure.
Are there any gun docs that are in the BC Kootnays that are willing to crack my baby open? |

Thanks, I got it apart. Good thing 101Tech knows that users of their guns like to tinker!
Although, what I found wasn't pretty. The wires going from the battery/fuse were badly chewed up, and I know it wasn't me because I was sure to go carefully for exactly that reason. I've done it before to an old AEG crapsoft I had, and it's not fun. Good thing is I can take it to the local Radio Shack/Source and get the wires up to snuff(the gun's wires were a smaller guage than the battery) for $5. |

Wanted to give this a quick bump, I'm willing to ship to a gun doc if one is willing to do the work.
