SRC M933 Thoughts?

what are your thoughts of the SRC M933?
i'm thinking of getting this as my first gun, it's the right price range for me, and i can always upgrade when i get into it more. It seems to be well regarded. but i thought i would ask about it, i didn't see too much in the search.
thanks

I belive the 933 is actually lower quality then the rest of his SRCs, hence the price that is about half of his other SRCs.

Maybe its a gen 2?

I've worked on a couple I think they are Gen 1.

IMO they are okay starter guns. overpriced but that's normal for Canada.

If you want to upgrade the gun it's going to cost 200 dollars or so to get the gun running upgraded well.

You're going to need spring, spring guide, piston head, piston, cylinder head, new gears, new motor, maybe a new switch the shuttle looks really cheap, and metal bearings/bushings and a 1 pc hopup..

At that point i would say don't bother buying and save the money and buy KWA which won't need upgrades.

Forgot to answer your question 2 pc plastic hopup is not the greatest to start with it shoots okay for a starter gun, but complete G&P, KWA and import tuned guns that everyone in Canada owns are going to make that thing look like... something really bad.

Gen 3 is only where SRC shines, anything previous to that is pretty much crap...so I heard at least.

Yeah I haven't heard very good things of the M933. Save up a little more and get a KWA. Or, just get age verified, since if you are buying a gun you have to be 18 anyways. That way you can get a better selection of better quality guns.

Thanks for the info.

I still stick to what I have to say. Having opened and worked on several of them buy a KWA.

i'll be 23 this year, so i have no problem buying a gun. i contacted the rep here in kitchener about get verified, but haven't heard back from him. i would love to check the classifieds. i bought a LBV today, and have 30 days to return, so now i'm in a hurry!
thanks for the info guys.
is there anything on the classifieds that is sub 300 right now, and a good buy?

bareass, take the initiative to get AVed, ie. attend a game. I too made the mistake of waiting for AVers' reply. I then went to TTAC3 and got AVed instantly.

There almost always at least one AV rep at every game in the kitchener area.
