Battery Charger Help: TLP EXPRO II

Alright, so last weekend we went out and played, I charged 8 batteries.
1 4500mAh, 2 3800 mAh, 3 1400 mAh 1 1100mAh, and 1 600mAh. (all NiMH)

Now with this charger, as I have done in the past (and from what I can understand on these instructions: http://tlp.hk/files/EX%20PRO%20II%20...R%20MANUAL.pdf )
I set that little dial to to the mAh of the battery, right? so 4.5 on the dial for the 4500mAh, 1.4 on the dial for the 1400mAh, etc.

In the past this has worked fine, 4500 battery lasts all day.
Last weekend, between 3 of us, we went through all the batteries, and had to charge some inbetween games to keep playing.

Am I doing something wrong, or is there an issue with my charger? I'm just not sure what to think, I'm not the best with electrical things.
Thanks for any and all of your help.

the dial is to set your charging rate in fast charge mode. it has nothing to do with the mAh rating of the battery. the higher the X.XA(mps) rating you set, the faster the battery will charge.

Caveat:
however, some batteries do not like to be charged too quickly and will require a much lower setting. some as low as the trickle slow charge. the fast charge will also cause your battery to heat up. if it's not a quality battery, it can over heat and become damaged.

/caveat

I use the fast charge on a few of my batteries. they do get hot but not too hot to touch.

also, remember in cooler weather, yes 5-10 degrees applies, your shot per mAh ratio will decrease. so a 1400mAh will no longer yield an average of 1400 shots per charge (in a perfect situation)

No man i own this carger and your wrong when it comes to this charger other ones yes your right. There is a button on the charger for a slow charge or a fast charge or a discharge, its the mode select button and you will see LED's light up for each mode. the Dial is for the mAh of the battery.

Mirodasc. you have the dial setting right. My charger seems to be pretty finiky. As coachster said some batterys do not like to be charged fast. I also notice my chager has issues with multiple batterys. try charging 2 batterys then give it a break for a wile then do two more batterys Etc.. I have had the same issue as you with this charger. It seemed to be related to the fuse. Make sure that the fuse is in tight and making good contacts. try cleaning the contacts. Also even though this makes no sence to me and i bet alot of other people. One time i had this problem i looked at my fuse and it was fine but i change it anyways and it worked again after. Also make sure the red and black plugs are making good contact.

hope this helps,
Jon.
