bb's not flying out.
ok, had a cheap broken gun laying around here. I got it all working (ish). it was shooting way hot 370 fps for indoor. so decided to cut the spring.
I cut off about three links. put together mech box best I could.. Is it just me or these gears and and trigger specifically designed to vex one. now it doesn't seem to fire bb's they get jammed in barrel. no shooting. If i take out bb's i can feel a rush of air out the barrel when i fire it. If i turn it upside down, load a bb, i see it just sits there in the gun, barely moving when it fires. If i plug the nozzle with my finger it seems the piston goes half way through it's pull again. bouncing back, ... nozzle is not in perfect shape, but appears ok (ish) Did i cut the spring way to short, and need to do the mech box thing again (yikes, though i am getting better) or is the nozzle bad? something else?? |

sounds like there's a leak somewhere, you get no power from the shot.
it shouldn't be related with the spring.

is anything moving in the chamber when you turn the gun upside down and fire it? if not, you didn't put the tappet plate back together right.

I'll give the tappet plate another try
Any good way of taking apart mechbox, keeping trigger and gears in place, so I don't need to rebuild?

pull the anti-reveral latch from the inside first to relieve tension on your spring, from there use a small screw driver and gently open from the back (back facing your left hand, nozzle end facing your right) stick the small screw driver into the spring guide (or into the spring guide screw depending on version,) and carefully take the spring and spring guide out before opening everything else.

how do you pull anti reverse latch from inside
How would you pull the anti reverse latch. I'm using a v2 mechbox.
Thanks! Ken |

Either a very small pair of hooked needle nose pliers, a very small allen key or a small pair of tweezers.
Reach up through the motor hole and pull the thing touching the bevel gear. |

Solved
Thanks so much for you time in you're responses. I've solved the problem. I hadn't attached the nozzle to the tappet plate. Without the help provided I wouldn't have had success.
I had no luck catching the anti release latch, but used a series of magnets on the back to keep everything in place and that did work. Thanks so much!! Ken |
