KJW 226 Mag Leak

I've read the tutorial on how to fix leaking mags with the "blue gasket method" and was about to start taking apart my leaking KJW 226 mag to fix it when I came across this issue. Every How-To I can find regarding disassembling 226 mags indicates that there should be an alan screw on the bottom of the mag close to the fill valve. My mags do not have this screw and I can't figure out how to take apart the mag so that I can fix the seals. Does anyone have any experience with disassembling these mags?

Thanks

On the KJW mags there are 2 pins just above the base plate that you have to pop out to disassemble the mag.

I see the pins, but what would I punch them out with as they are not solid pins? They are more like hollow cylinders...

Basically you are going to have to find something slightly smaller than the pin holes yet big enough to push the edges of the roll pins out. A nail might work if you file down or cut one end.

tiny flathead screwdriver, center punch, filed nail, something that can push the pins out....

older kjw p226 mags are held together with a looooong alllen bolt at the bottom

jewelers philips is better. as long as the shaft is the same size as the opening, the tapered tip will help push it through. heck I just use an allen key that is the right diameter with a hammer or a weighted instrument or some sort within reach of me.

You won't have to use blue gasket silicon to fix the leak... just replace the O-ring, and then re-install the base plate. Leak fixed. You can get an O-ring at the hardware store for less than a buck. Be careful when you take the base off, ...that your spring and follower don't go flying.
