Sniper Rifle Hop-up
Hey guys, so im trying to figure out what a 450 fps sniper rifle should have as a hop-up. So far ive looked at Fire Fly Hard, but it only says for VSR or AEG. And im wanting to eventually get the Maruzen APS-2. Would these fit? Or should i look for another brand?

The "Firefly hard" are hopup bucking and not the actual hopup assembly.
You can keep the stock hopup and see if it keep up. At 450fps, you should be ok for a while if you don't change your hopup assembly and barrel. You have to upgrade the heck out of your rifle anyway, so you will be getting a PDI hopup or other aftermarked hopup that inlcude a bucking that should do the trick.

Oh i meant Hop-up Rubber. My bad, i'll be getting the PDI chamber to match the 6.01 tighbore, amongst many more goodies. I just dont know which aftermarket Rubber to use. I'll be running it between 400-450.

VSR and L96 hopup rubbers are different.
VSR hopup rubbers are the same as TM pistol rubbers. Hope that helps. |

My favourite rubber for my M24 is the Guarder Clear.

APS-2 comes with a fixed hop up set for use with Maruzen 0.29g Super GrandMaster BBs. You'll need the PDI hop up unit, which mounts on an AEG barrel and uses AEG hop up rubbers. I get my rubbers (the Guarders) from airsoft parts. Just send Jugglez a PM to say you want a couple sets (about $10 each I think) and he'll bring some in on one of his next orders. If it's not in stock, just ask. He gets orders from each company in at least once per month.

Yeah, im planning on pretty much full PDI, except bolt, receiver(original is already metal) and the small things like end cap ect. Whats the difference between guarder's and firefly?
