BB quality
I just had my new gun out at a friends house (country, no neighbours) to get the sights set and try it out in auto. It was awesome but we encountered a lot of jamming and non firing issues. All I had was cheap BB's from walmart ( I know I am going to hear about that). Is the quality of BB's that critical to the proper firing of an AEG?

Bastards don't Jam.
They can follow the beat, but guitars are a little difficult for them, they might sing a little but definitley not Jam. |

Very much so.
BB Bastard never failed me in any shape or form. Feed amazing in my mags and all 4 of my guns no problems at all, not once.

Can someone explain what causes the jamming? Is it that they aren't as smooth as bastards?

Cheap bb's, walmart crap especially are very likely to: a) be misshapen, which since most barrels only have about 0.05 mm clearance can cause jams. b) have raised seams, which aside from possibly causing jams will also rip the hell out of your hopup rubber. c) aren't as polished as good bbs, which will friction thus wearing out various parts quicker, may cause jams and will cause the bb to slow down in flight much quicker. d) their bubbles will be off-center or diffuse, which will cause the bbs to have a rather erratic flight path if they actually manage to get out of the barrel.

With the rare and possibly only exception of their pump springer shotgun SP34 or whatever weird name they gave it.

Wal mart doesn't sell that gun, canadian tire does. It's a TM M3 clone like any other clone .... the perform as well as TM clones. Just cheaper plastic and cheaper spring.
