Non-feeding Mid-caps?!

So, At the start of a game this sunday, all 13 of my MAG mid-caps were feeding fine. Throughout the day, they started not really feeding right, and by the last game i only had 3 or 4 left working right.

It was weird. When i loaded them all up, It seemed fine. But when I pulled back the little retaining nub at the top of the mag, none of the BB's would come out unless i shook/whacked the mag. Someone (Alexei?) Suggested that i take the spring out of them, and strech it. I tried it on one of the mags, with no visible results.

Any ideas what went wrong, and how to solve it?

Thanks,
-Ben

add some lube? its also possible that at some point you crammed too many BBs in, separating the two halves slightly, this in turn will cause BBs to stack incorrectly and jam, I had that happen to one of my STAR M4 mags a while back

Tried lubing them, sorry i should have mentioned that in the original post.

Also, when you say too many, how can i tell when its full, I always just thought it was when they stopped loading. Is this wrong?

They don't seem at all split

What BB's are you shooting. In my Magpul PTS mags the madbull .28's would get jammed 1 cm below the feed lip. I would have to hit the mag to get the bb's to clear and they would just jam again. I switched back to my old reliable KSCs and have not had an issue since.

Also try lubing the mags. Put 3-4 drop of silicon oil into the mag and load the mag with BBs to oil as much of the internal chamber as possible. This didn't work for me so i ended up switching back to KSC BBs.

yes lube it, fill with max bb's then hit the release and see what happens, try this a few times, then try it in the aeg on full auto and see if the mag feeds all the way to the end

another thing you could do is open up the bottom circular plate thing. And then push down about 30~40 BBs inside through the hole(Im not talking about the feeding nozzle) and install the plate back in.

Now you can only load out 80~90 BBs but the spring will have more than enough tension to feed the BBs into the hop up. You dont have to use Lube which causes consistency problem either.
