About bio-bbs and tightbore..

Hello, I have a question about using biodegradable bbs with a 6.03mm inner barrel...

Is it recommended? If not... What type of bbs do you think I should be using with a barrel of that size?

I heard that bb bastard's bb are very good quality, but I haven't been able to find anywhere where I could buy them! If anyone know, let me know...

I think the Bastard rep closest to you is Amos unless there're others in BC or Sask. You can PM him and see if he has any left. I think I rmb reading somewhere that he was low on the BBB's too.

Bio bb's have had a fairly poor rap in the past due to poor quality. Bioval bb's have been around for some time now with great success and no issues with respect tight bore problems. In fact the slightly smaller diameter 5.92mm provides perfect clearance. The smaller diameter offers superior flight adjustment with your hop-up.

No Bio bb's come close, and most regular bb's show no performance advantages.

I've fired several thousand rounds of Metal Techs with no problems, no breakage, and they seemed accurate enough; no wild spin-offs.

In my opinion the order of quality of Bio BB's in order are

Bioval
Excel, TM
Madbull
G&G

stick with regular BBs. while Bioval BBs are good performers, recent controversy has made them blacklisted at many games. If you cant get any bastard BBs and you want heavier than .25 (from metal tech), than get KSC bbs, or Madbull. Here is my take with the bb companies in terms of product quality:

BB Bastard:
Best BBs hands down. They are the bread and butter of Canadian airsofters. Unsurpassed in terms of quality and performance. They are the industry standard for Canada

KSC:
Excellent BBs at a great price. They come in a variety of weights and i have heard of no one having performance issues with them.

Metal Tech:
In terms of quality, these are very good, but they lack product diversity, with their heaviest weight being .25g only.

Madbull:
A solid choice due to their variety. Easily the most diversified brand of BBs, with extreme heavy-weights for snipers, to bio bbs, to tracer bbs. they have a need met for all forms of airsofting with a price that can't be beat. However, their quality is lacking somewhat on some of their new products. i have heard reports of people having misfeeds and some of their heavier bbs are coated with oil that can rub off (see Construction Paper Test) and gunk of inner barrels and mags. Still, i plan on using their tracer BBs cause they come in .25s. Most companies Make .2g tracers only.

Bioval BBs:
In terms of performance, they are excellent, but due to recent controversy around them, most game hosts ban them from games. i wont go into the details on it, as there are numerous, multi-page threads regarding the issue, but just keep that in mind. no point having bbs if you cant use them at a game.

ultimately the choice is up to you, but i hope this little comparison helps you out.

My problem with Bioval is they don't sit in my mags right, so I get mag jams or random spooges.

So when they do feed, they fire alright in my tightbore.

fair enough, but from an objective POV, Bastards are a superior product due to their variety. this is of course assuming in terms of quality and performance, the two brands are identical (which i have heard is true)

Well, the thing is, my friend sold me about 4500 of bio bbs, which I'm not sure I should put them through my gun...
