Magpul MS2 Slings....Huang's or RS?

At first not knowing what the fuss was all about, after finally seeing one on a video it seems to make a lot of sense. Wondering about the quality of the replica ones and how it compares to the real ones. The real one seem to be available periodically, and right now it seems all I can find is some crazy marked up one on eBay. Then there is Huang's, which for a replica it seems to be not that much cheaper, but if its comparable it certainly is more available...so any input will be appreciated....

I just got Huang's. Honestly.. I don't know what else you could want from a sling. It is beautiful. The hardware seems to be made of very quality material. And it looks the exact same, down to the sewn on logo, and then packaging even! (Looks like they photocopied the real package for an MS2 and then used it lol).
I don't know what the quality of the real one is though, so I cannot make a direct comparison. But I was fooled into thinking it was the real deal at first.

I would say, since it is very easy to find Huang's, go for it. It is very good quality. And it isn't all that expensive, I am sure you could sell it off for almost exactly what you paid for it.

All metals are not steel...and all steels aren't hardened the same.

You'd want your $1000 heavy rifle hanging from something that wasn't going to warp/deform/fail. If it's bent/warped...that's just cosmetic. If it breaks/fails and you rifle hits the ground...that's just sad.

But if you don't intend on smashing it around and it's a wall hanger...then doesn't really matter does it?

Lesson learned from awhile back. Don't cheap out on a sling or you will regret it.

Get a good/real sling from a well known RS manufacturer. You will be happy you spent that extra $20-$30.

From experiance, unless you bough an El-cheapo sling. It's not worth it to spend 100$ on a sling for airsoft.

If you buy a sling designed for your need and you know how to use it, it only had to be made of descent material and descently assembled. It's not a high tech peice of gear, but still important.

In doupt, make yourself a sling to try different styles for less than 20$. Then, buy one that fit your needs.

Speaking of the Magpul sling replica, I've never tried it. If it's parts are made of pot metal, than forget it, it will snap. If it's real metal, than go ahead.

The parts do not feel like pot metal to me. I will do a little experiment tonight and then report back... Hopefully I don't ruin my sling, but I would rather do that than ruin a gun, and then so you can all know that it is safe, or not safe, to use.
