Who makes the best "playable" GBB shotgun ?

I'm looking to buy a GBB shotgun , cause I see no point in a springer shotgun(other then winter games), and I need help in my research. I know mainly all the companies that make GBB shotguns but Im hoping to get some feedback from some peeps who actually fielded or knows someone who fielded one before. Please help . You can PM me directly or post here.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Ive seen the Marushin M500 gamed pretty good. Not entirely sure of the Maruzen M870 or the Tanaka. Theres nothing wrong with using a spring shotgun of decent quality like a TM M3 Super 90 or SPAS12. Ive used my TM M3 on many occasions, and regularly as my primary for both indoor and outdoor games and have had great success with it, and seen others use them very effectively. Just avoid clones and you should be fine with springers.

second on the marushin (or acm copy), preferably in 6mm for the larger mag capacity.

the maruzen 870 is pretty weak in its stock form, though there are people that run external air with modification

the tanaka is a beauty, but fragile and nearly impossible to upgrade. common problems range from the barrel pin working itself loose (easy fix), to borken hammer and other internals (not easy to fix). if you do get this one, forget any other round and buy the madbull shot shells; 6 bb capacity and dumps all the gass out like a m203 shell.
-airsoft surgeon use to have a 8 bb capacity buckshot, but i can't find it on redwolf anymore. but the airsoft surgeon round only works in their modified shotguns.

I would tend to disagree here. A gas shotgun is cool but has other problems (leaks, valves, etc...).

A friend uses the M500 gas shotgun (which shoots 5 BBs). Very cool but you have enough gas for 20 shots maximum and it's a bitch to reload the BBs (when compared to a shell for a spring shotgun).

I think spring shotgun are much more reliable, easier/faster to use and for long games you don't run into long BB reload or shortage of gas.

It just like K98
magazine is better than individual shell
Shotgun are no different, shell magazine are better than individual shells. Also Skirmish? I havent see a Shell catcher for M870 firearms...good luck!

Are there any actual GBB shotguns? I thought there are only NBB ones thus far.

good point. I assumed that's what the op meant though.

m500's are great once you upgrade the action arms.
870's are fun and realistic but chasing after your shells is a pita. even with a shell catcher, you're limited.
Spas12 is fun too for a springer. decent range and ouch factor for a springer.

G&P M870 hands down - All metal (springer) goodness, hard hitting and very decent range for a springer
