Aftermath Lycaon new version?

Okay, So as a late birthday present a buddy of mine baught me an aftermath Lycaon mp5 from the local cabellas. Pretty sweet I thought, but all the comments i've read from how nasty they are (Shoddy internals, non-mauri compatable barrel and hopup and such) lingered in the back of my head.

When I picked it up i was kinda thrown off. The gun came in an actual box rather than the rediculosuly tough vaccuum packaging you normally see them in. Comes with the usual shit as advertized. but boxed... And advertized with a 'brass' barrel over the standard aluminum. So they obviously made some changes here.

Now, does anyone have any clue if the changes are even notable? Do you have one of these 'new version' Lycaons (If they could even be called that.) and have any idea what else they changed? I've got a hunch they might of smartened up on the hopup unit... But I haven't a clue what to look for.

So, this comes down to you old Lycaon owners. I'm willing to crack this fucker apart and see if there are any changes. Just list what I need to look for!

Should've mentioned this earlier, I'm not in the area anymore, the guns sitting in a cupboard in the camper we used to drive to the buoey planes to go to the lake i'm at right now (Aikens lake if anyones familiar) So it'll have to wait 'till monday.

And i'm not exactly familiar with mp5's (I'm an AK guy) so i have no clue what i'm looking for.

remove the front end, lower receiver, then split the upper in half and you will see the mechbox and hop up unit... hop up should be screwed into the receiver's shell... anyway... just look at the mechbox.com vids and you'll have your answer!

It'll be the same.... all aftermath rebranded stuff come in black boxes now... But with relatively minor, and mostly insignificant changes; in the kraken for example they changed the stock rear plate from plastic to metal, except the metal one still fell apart after about a month for me.
The box is nice though =D

Really?
the CYMA hop-up rubber does its job okay, but the inner barrel seems like a bit of a let down lol.... I'm looking forward to the vids.

Update, No video yet. weathers too poor.

Okay, the guns are now being sold with TM compatable hopup units and barrels, I just took mine apart and it uses a regular AEG barrel, hopup sleeve and such. So they have put in some effort in making the gun better.
