Help with my first purchase
I'm looking to purchase my first airsoft gun.
Could you guys let me know what I should be looking out for? Right now, I'm looking at a TM M4 for about 330 CAD. Is that a fair price? I also saw KCW and KWA M11a1's for relatively cheaper. I've never heard of these brands though. What brands should I be looking for? Last edited by Kwamz; August 13th, 2009 at 14:56.. |

Take a read through THIS..and some of the other FAQ's/Stickied posts.
Short story is that it's best to get out to a game and see/hear what's what in person. Where are you located and are you over 18yrs old? Answers to both make a big difference. I'm currently helping out a guy who got ripped off for $500+ and is still going to be out another $200min getting back on the right track with things...it really sucks, and there is a better way to go about it. |

Thanks, I will take a read in the FAQ's. Yes, I am older than 18 years of age. I've tried to contact the members who does age verification in Markham, but still waiting for a response. In the meanwhile, I've just been browsing on the internet and trying to determine what I should be looking for. |

Awesome...good start. The FAQ's and the stickies (mine included) are a horrible read. All the information is there...there's just soooo much reading to do.
Since you're over 18, come out to one of these: CQB - Aug 31st CQB - Sept 27th Regardless if you're all set with guns&gear...or have nothing at all...both of these events will have lots of guys on hand where you'll be able to get answers to most any questions first hand. It's like compressing 6 months of reading through stuff on ASC into one evening where you get to shoot stuff! |

Can't fix my own guns. Willing to fix yours.

Also, fill out some information like location on your profile, so its easier for people to help you and know where you are located in the future.

I look forward to seeing you there. There's going to be more than a couple new guys out to the one on Aug 31st...so no worries about feeling out of place or being overwhelmed.. It's a good group of guys.
There will be at least one age verifier (not myself but Brian M is one) there...so you can get that done at the same time as well. Post up in the specific thread if you're confirmed...and make note of what/anything that you need to borrow/rent. Tys |

At these prices, they aren't in country. You can't import from outside, they will be confiscated.
Get AV'ed, you'll see what are your options then. Expect to pay about twice the sticker price of international retailers. |
