40mm Grenades legal for import?

I know that you can't import 40mm launchers, but I'm wondering about the actual grenades?

When i did reaserch, it basically said "grenades that look real". Does that include 40mm grenades? If they get seized, would i be able to dispute it? I noticed that airsoftparts.ca sells them, and they say at the top of their site that they do don't sell restricted parts.

Thanks guys, and sorry if this is common knowledge.

i've imported several types of 40mm grenades. Some POM material some metal without any issues. none of them, however, had a cap or sleeve cover to make them look like an actual 40mm grenade. The holes were all exposed. clearly not a high explosive device.

I was pretty sure the fact that they would be filled with holes would be a bit of a give-away that they weren't real

I had understood that they were restricted. But I get all mine from airsoftparts.ca which is in country so I've never had to look into it.

As mentioned, had no problems getting the POM ones in. They were opened and inspected by customs, didn't look like they unscrewed them, only taken from packaging.
Don't have experience with the metal ones though.

hmm, im considering investing in a grenade launcher set-up, and it seems like the grenades are the expensive parts. Ehobbyasia has 3 POM or 3 King arms grenades for like 40 bucks, If i could import them, that would make it much more affordable

Ok ! I just wonder what kind of launcher are you going to get ? The reason that I ask this question since some of those grenade won't work with some launcher. I had experience with that so just want to share, not to waste money.

Well, just make sure that you won't get the POM grenade from ehobbyasia, it won't work with that launcher but it would work with other D-boy, G&P M203.

No offence, but for someone who is underaged and supposedly "listening, and learning" (which I assume includes listening to the part about how ASC discourages underaged acquisition of airsoft arms), you're actively building up a rather large arsenal.

That's always confused me...I just never really brought it up. His profile says he's 22 though.

edit: Nevermind...found my answer: oh the power of "The Search"!

I understand what your saying Saint, and i guess your right, maybe i should hold off on the 40mm for the times being.

Although i am underage, and i do own airsoft guns, the only time they ever leave my gun case is at a game, or when my parents are there. I like to think that i follow all the rules surrounding airsoft safety anyone else here does. My parents completely support this past-time, and strictly enforce many rules, both about safety, and keeping my airsoft guns out of view from just about everyone.

I'm 16

When i first joined way back, i was convinced i was some smart-ass who could bypass the system. I made a thread publicly apologizing a few months ago.

I asked a mod to change my age to what it really was, but never got a response.

EDIT:

I missed your edit >.>

Anyways, you found the thread

Have your father (or mother, equal opportunity) clearly (and honestly, not just lip service) identified as the buyer and owner of all your stuff, and there's no problem. The best thing you can do is not just to acquire parental consent, but also ensure that they are plainly and visibly participating in your airsoft activities.

As for the age thing, I recommend you try again.

Yes, they are clearly the buyers. The only things i buy myself are gear and Parts, but they are completely aware of what i buy.

Also, they sign all the necessary waivers whenever i play, my dad has no interest in playing, but is happy to support me in this.

Also, who should i contact about the age thing, just PM lisa?
