Starting with the g36c

So as my first gun, I did a little research and I think the Tokyo Marui g36c. Good quality for a good price. The one complaint I've heard is teh battery. Is it possible to upgrade? If so, what kind fo battery should I upgrade to?

Also, if I want to install new rails, what kind of rails should I use and how can I install them?

Finally, if I wanted to add something like a supressor, how do I know which ones will be compatible with me gun?

The battery compartment is in the foregrip...and it's a tight fit. Mini batteries only (which kind of suck as you upgrade the power and the batteries get old). You can put a 7.4v 2xxx mAh 15-20c lipo in there...that should last for a good long time.

The G36C already has a bottom rail I think...you just buy the side rail kit (two rails total) and bolt them onto the sides of the foregrip. Simple as turning a screwdriver.

The flash hider comes off and you install a 14mm -ve (CCW, counter clockwise) suppressor. BUT...since the handguard opening is pretty tight around the barrel/flashhider, you might need to mod the handguard so the suppressor fits. or get an extension so that it clears.

Best of luck,

Tys

I would suggest starting with an M4 variant or an AK, for the simple fact that is what everyone else runs. Starting out its nice to be able to borrow an extra mag or battery from someone kind enough to lend out kit. Lots of people have spare mags for M4's, not to many people have G36. Unless you run with a G36 crowd, then disregard entirely.

The socom style silencers work well with the G36C because they have an extended lip.

You can use any kind of battery that fits into the G36C foregrip. I would recommend a 7.4v Lipo that is the size of a regular 8.4v mini battery althought 9.6v minis fit as well. With the G36, you can also get a sniper buttstock that can hold a large battery. There are also large battery forgrips available...

Personally I have a tiny bar stick sized 11.1v lipo that can fit even in a RAS on my G36K.

Does a better battery boost the power of a rifle, or just the lifespan? Also, are they re-usable/chargable?

Also, would this be an ideal battery or can I do better?

A battery does nothing to the "power" of your rifle. It only affects the ROF (rate of fire), trigger lag and how long your battery lasts before it won't turn over the motor any more (lifespan/duration/etc).

Yes, LiPo/NiCad/NiMh all come in rechargeable type batteries. Save up and get a good charger.

It will be a tight fit into the G36C handguard but it could just make it if you snap off the tabs inside. The G36C handguard is made for 8.4v minis.

Okay so I'll probably get one of those. What's the best make/model for that type?

get the gun first. worry about the accessories after. get age verified, assuming your not underage. if you get it from the classifieds then there's a good chance it will come with a battery. otherwise you could negotiate with the seller to include it.
