Glock 17 Springer vs GBB Design
I've been wanting to buy a TM Glock 17 springer as a wallhanger but I've noticed the design of the springer is a bit different from the GBB version. Besides the rails and thumb grip, I found that the front part of the frame is much..uglier than its GBB brother. Is there a reason for the different designs?
Here's the comparison Springer GBB |

Yes. The springer models an older version of the Glock 17 (Version One, I believe? Someone can correct me if I'm wrong), where the GBB models the most recent version of the Glock 17 (Version Three) - these versions differ by these slight cosmetic differences (and other differences)
Edit: I was referring to the RS Glocks. Last edited by GZA; June 8th, 2009 at 23:26.. |

TM g17 springer does vary a little from its own GBB g17,in order to pursue higher identicality with GBB,there is CYMA-made springer G17(also called P817)which is nearly identical to all G17 GBB series.

thanks for that, now the problem is trying to find a P817. It's funny how the cyma has a select fire and based off the g18c with no vent holes lol =p

Not sure...
When I read through it, I didn't note the year, just the month. Was thinking that it was an old thread off that alone, and then noticed the year after the fact and couldn't for the life of me figure out why it was raised. |

well judging by karlawsons other posts I would almost see that statement as trying to sell his springer outside of the classfides while being none aved which iirc is a no no.
sorry for the run on sentence lol. |

Uh. ok? no. I am not trying to sell anything. sorry if you got the wrong impression. I was going to suggest where he could buy one, but apparently that's against the rules, so..
