Battery Recommendations?

Hi there.

I've recently been upgrading my weapon (SiG552) to a high-torque style gun, and was wondering what kind of battery would be acceptable for it. Right now I'm just using a 8.4v 1700mAh, and am not well educated when it comes to batteries and how you can make use of certain battery accessories.

First, I'm not looking for ROF with high torque. It's not on my list as a priority. I'm mainly looking for a battery setup that will give a good shot, as well as last for quite a bit as well, and unfortunately an 8.4v 1700mAh can't pull that off. I had the opportunity to try out someone's 9.6v when I was test firing my gun after and upgrade, and it actually performed really well, including the ROF. The SiG552 uses a mini-size style battery, and as a result no 9.6v will fit in there, which leads me to my next question of which battery case would be used? The only battery case I am aware of is the KA AN/PEQ-15 which is cabable of housing a 11.1v 1300mAh LiPo battery.

Basically my question and goal are what would be an acceptable battery set up for a high-torque styled weapon, and to give the gun a good shot as well as not have to worry about the battery dying mid-game. I would actually prefer to go external-battery case, since if I can open up the handguard house, I'll then have room for a MOSFET down the line.

All the PEQ-15 case can hold lipo battery, like the china clones, there are already 11.1V lipo batteries for PEQ_15. I will have some coming.

You said it yourself. The KA peq 15 with the ka 11.1v lipo to match.
If your gun is over 350 fps, you'll get a great ROF without causing too much wear, instant trigger response and it will last ALL day.
I use one on my mp5 ras at 390 fps. I dump about 3-4000 bbs a day and it has never come close to running dry.
Peq is nice and small too.

The 11.1v that I've seen that fits in the PEQ-15 is a 1300mAh. I always thought the mAh meant the how long it lasted in game effectively? Or does it also have to do with the voltage? :|

Just speaking from personal experience, since my 1700mAh 8.4v doesn't last for more too long before it starts noticably getting weaker.

Again, in my defense, I know nothing about batteries. This is a learning experience, heh.

Also, options outside of LiPo are welcome as well. My main thing against LiPo is the horror stories I hear about them.

bad things happen if you dont take care of stuff. all you got to do is:

1) buy a proper charger (hobby-city has them $10 a piece: http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...idProduct=8247 )

2) buy a well-known brand li-po battery (zippy/rhino)

3) don charge unattended
