The simulated blowback is CRAP. The bolt barely moves back, maybe a quarter-inch.

Anyone who say the G&G blowback only moves a quarter inch doesn't know how it works.

YouTube - Top Tech M16 R4 Shootting test

G&G blowback (to be correct, faux bolt cycle) only works properly when there are BBs loaded. The fake travel is comparable to systems that use a direct linkage to the piston, but without the issue of the faux bolt unable to return to battery when the piston itself is partially drawn back.

G&G is the only bolt blowback aeg that is good enough to take a second glance at. it's the only one I know of that the bolt dosen't stop at the back if you let go on full auto and the piston is at the back.

What about performance and reliability? thats more my issue, also, the blowback looks nice, but does it actually add any kick?

It has a pretty high rate of fire, I'm using .28s and it's pretty accurate with those.
Dunno much about reliability yet cuz I just got it last week.

i was thinking of buying this one as well and i have a few questions about it.

1.does it come with metal bushings?
2.is the disassembly the same as a standard m4?
3.is the hopup metal or plastic?
4.is it compatible with other m4 mags?
5.is this better than the mp5 blowback counterpart?

When I asked about this TopTech, general consensus was that it wasn't worth the money at the time (around $600 before shipping) though at $400 from CapitalAS seems to be a sweeter deal. If I remember correctly (so someone correct me if I'm wrong please) at what I was told, internally is pretty much all proprietary. I don't remember if anyone mentioned about it using standard M4/M16 mags though.

Most of the youtube videos are using basic cameras that don't have a good enough frame rate to capture the speed of it moving, in turn this makes it appear as though it hardly moved when being fired.
I actually just picked one of these up from Jeff, should be here shortly.
