The NIA is running indoor gaming again this spring and I am looking to use a different set-up for walls. We used plywood and put some simple framing on so that we could hinge them so they were free standing.

I am looking for pics and videos of other clubs walls for better ideas than what we are using. I should not that our walls must be set-up and taken down after each day we play so portability is a big deal to me.

At TTAC 3 we use a "reconfigurable wall System" composed of 3 4x8 OSB panels with 4 holes drilled down each side.. the panels are attached together with zip ties. We have 20 3 panel units which enables us to create pretty much any configuration we want.

Some panels have windows cut in them.

the 20 units stack up against the wall taking up a pace about 4 x 6 feet when not in use.

they are very portable, one person can move and set up the panels.

when set up you can tie the units together with one zip tie .. which makes the structures very stable.

Tehy take a reasonable amount of bumping.. but you can;t go bouncing off the walls. ( not that you should be anyway)

you know it's funny I was just going to send a PM right to you instead of posting...

Do you recomend a certian size for zip ties? How far into the OSB do you drill and approx what size bit? Do you ever have problems with the zip ties pulling out of the holes (ripping the OSB)?

30 cm to 40 cm zip ties.. the best quality you can find .. I buy only made in Canada or made in USA ties as I have had very poor results with lower quality.. they have to be nylon ties plastic just snaps .. as it is .. ties have to be replaced regularly.

Drill a 1/4 inch hole 2.5 cm in from the edge.. I have had no issues with tear out the tie fails before the hole rips out.

you need 4 holes minimum .. 6 may be better 1 foot apart



about half the panels are painted.. the rest are natural.. I like the painted ones much better.. but it adds to the cost ..

We also made a bunch of half walls by cutting some sheets to 4 x 4

its a good system.. that has served well for 4 years now.

Well it serves... I wish it was larger.. but we make do.. amazing how much fun can be had in a small space .. if set up right

the RWS allows a different set up every time.. so you never have the same setup over and over again.

We have a few setups that we like and do again.. but there is always differences

We used a boxing gym last year. This year we totally lucked out and have an entire elemtary school sized gym that we are free to use. Has bathrooms and kitchen for set-up rooms...AWESOME. Our problem this year might be that we don't have enough walls!

Brian thanks for the help, we used the new design last night and it worked wonderfully. Cut our storage 1/2 and didn't mark up the floor as much as our old design. One question is why do you leave them at 8ft? We cut ours at 6-6 and found them easier to store and lighter to move.

Lazyness... sheets come at 8 foot..

and with the higher walls the structures seem more confining
