valve problem? (pics)

recently just got a ksc 18c used with two mags (first gbb)
one mag is perfect and gun works fine with it
other mag (looks alot more used then other)
sprays propane once its in the magwell (valve touching wall)
if i jam it in fast only a small purge is set but once you push the trigger all you get is a blank click like the mag has lost all its pressure

now im wondering what is going on with my valve on the bad mag
theres clear eveidence that someting is wrong (the valve is infact the same as the one on the good mag just some diffrences causing problem)

now the valve on the bad mag sticks out 1-2mm from the body of the mag unlike flush as on the good one. but the center pin looking rod is still aswell flush with the mag body just like the good one but the rest of the valve is sticking out?

is this some kind of(waistgate?) feature if over filled? or is this just a blown valve?
please tell me what im dealing with here

Its not a feature the valve is loose. That valve stem pin is threaded on the outside end. You may be able to tighten it down but it does spin freely inside the valve chamber.

Have you tried tightening the valve itself?

Sounds like the tiny O-ring is missing from inside the valve, the pressure from the propane pushing onto the head of that little piston with the O-ring inside your valve keeps the gas in the mag, without it, gas escapes, and sticks out about 1-2mm (about the same thickness of the O-ring) like you described.

The actual silver knob that the valve knocker hits has unscrewed itself over time and that's why it's sticking out and causing problems.

Tighten it and your problems will go away.

- tighten just the silver part that pushes the stem... not the valve body!

The valve was just machined that way to make assembly of the valve easier. It's easiest to tighten if you use a valve key to remove the entire valve from the magazine. You may also want to apply some blue loctite to make sure it won't come loose again.

If said oring was missing the valve would leak when filling it. As I stated in the above post you can attempt to tighten the part that is sticking out. If that dosent work you can get a replacement valve or hiflow valve. I have seen this sort of thing before. I have some stock ksc glock valves kickin around aswell so if you need a replacement pm me.

i tryed tightning it with a pair of needle nose plyers but it dosint seem to be treading on (all tough it has moved a bit ? ) does function properly now
il have to order a valve key and get this done right

any one know of a good makeshift valvekey?
hmmm il see if i can find something i can use as a key while i wait for a quality tool to land on my step
or i could just make one
i am a mechanic btw so

it's going to be really hard to screw it on unless you remove the entire valve, because it's attached to a free moving stem.

You HAVE to remove the entire valve body.
