Hi guys,

I just did a trade with Rock N Roll Outlaw.
My bnib G&G M14 v4 (with battery and charger as well as the other new odds and ends.

He was suppose to send me a Star Scar LB which needed a mag release.
He told me Huang has one (haung asked me if an m4, (it won't) would fit so how could he have one?.
This gun is completly unuseable The only option I'm prepared for is for outlaw to pay all shipping and return my product as I will his.

Mag Catch/Release

I'm looking for a new magazine catch/release for my Star SCAR. I just checked Star's website and they don't have any SCAR specific mag catch only the ambi M4/M16 mag catch so any of those would do, but it will have to be ambidextrous. PM me and we'll work something out!

When the gun arrived, it was missing the mag catch and the bolt hold open and the bolt cover. the rail covers were miss match (i knew the eglm was gone already).

To boot the gun won't shoot you can hear the power going to the gear boxs but nothing happens.


What the hell I've been around awhile but don't send me outright junk.
If you had sent me one pic like i ask I would have never traded with you.

But seriously Amos what in the world is that?

I don't particularly see what the problem is. You were informed that the gun had trouble, and still made the trade. You could have contacted huang before you made the trade to ensure he had the part or that the parts were available. You also could have found the post you provided before you traded.

When buying a used gun you should always try before you buy, otherwise it's a gamble for what you're paying for. Lesson learned.

EDIT: Also, have you contacted him about this?

It's an exurb from a book... The original poster's ending sentence had a remarkable likeness to the fore-word in the 1st edition re-print of the book... I thought he may have been making a reference to the book.

The only problem he told me about was the mag catch not the non firing rifle missing more parts than he said.

Yeah I can ship today thats no problem. Its the SCAR-L so it uses typical armalite mags, and its in black. In case I forgot to mention it though, it still needs a new mag catch. Just send me your address so I can ship it out first thing. Mine is as follows :

For the person who asked, yes this gentleman had confronted me about this, and I thought we were in the middle of working things out. I see no reason this needed to be brought out in the open.

But since it is, I'll lay my cards on the table.

I did mention the the fact the mag catch is missing. That post he found of mine was when I first got my SCAR and was asking on compatibility with using an M4 ambi mag catch since thats all Star had on their site and it looked exactly the same as the old on. Turns out the answer I rec'd was "yes". Because the SCAR uses quite a few M4 parts, the mag catch was one of them. Again this was mentioned before the trade.

He says the rails are mismatched, well this was news to me. How was I supposed to tell when I damn near never used the rails. I only used the gun twice (once at a TWAT game, and once at BWII) and at each time I only used the bottem rail for a grip, and the top rail for a sight. Both fit perfectly, and the rest of the time they were covered with rail covers. The missing bolt catch I will admit I forgot to mention. This was a mistake on my part only due to the fact it was not that important for me it slipped my mind entirely. It came to me like that from the person I bought it from (FoxHound). This did not affect performance of the gun at all.

The part about the rifle not firing was also news to me. I test fired it before I shipped it out. It worked fine. Shot 3 full locap mags before I shipped it. You said it sounds like there is power going to the motor and gears, but nothing is happening. It sounds like the battery I sent you must be going. Have you tried another battery? If that is the case, I will send you a new battery. I also offered to send him the mag catch and bolt catch.

Is there anything else?
