importing parts to canada
hi guys, i've a question. i want to move from germany to toronto and i have some airsoft guns, i would like to keep. i have a marui steyr aug, ics m4, marui desert eagle and the ksc glock 18.
now, is it possible to mail the single parts to an adress in canada? for example the receiver of my steyr aug, when i took off the trigger and the safety switch. could it happen, that my receiver will be seized? there is no serial number on it. but on the outer barrel is a number and the caliber markings. |

Like he said.
Some whole guns make it in, others don't. Depends on how they feel that day. Don't risk it. |

so i could mail all the parts of my aug, but the receiver?
can i order the classic army aug receiver from a canadian retailer and assemble my complete aug? |

Maybe, but I wouldn't count on it. I've never seen just an AUG reciever for sale. That's not to say you can't get one. There are frequently AUGs for sale in the classifieds.

Be prepared for the prices here. A new AUG will run you around $500.

Prolly safer. Parts should be fine but receiver...risky. Yes they snakescope boxes and unless its bright yellow or something it might disappear.

My M16 made it through (Colt markings and everything), but that's probably one case in a milion. I came here from Poland, btw.

OK I'm gonna tell you what you should expect.
A buddy of mine was selling his used MP5 for $1250 including 10 mags and some other stuff like red dot (Not sure what brand but I think it was TM). A used TM AUG could be $700 with a few mags, scope and a few upgrades. You'll have to wait and see when you get access to the classifieds. A new CA M15 XM177 would probably be $600, a new SPR ~$650. GBB's I've seen lowest $150 and that's with damaged parts and whatnot, expect a GBB to be $300+ and if you want something special like a race gun/tactical gun expect $700 minimum. Best bet is to strip the gun and get anything that's not restricted/prohibited over the border and sell off your body. Honestly it's not worth saving those few bucks to get your ass in hot water. You'd really be screwed especially since you're trying to move here and your papers would be thrown out. AUG receivers are hard to come by here. AR-15 variants however are A LOT more common. Like I said you'll have to wait to get access to the classifieds. Assuming that you're 18+ it should be no problem and theres lots of verifiers in Toronto.

It was bound to be said. I'm not sure really why you want to move here. We are taxed to death for no logical reason and have more laws and regulations than citizens. At least you have Mercedes-Benz and BMW to help your economy. We're a country where a toy airsoft M14 is illegal and costs $800 yet a real M14 is legal and as little as $399. We're the only country in the world that banned beryllium speakers too. LMFAO. Banned speakers. Again no hate on Canada.

i'm accustomed to pay high taxes. in germany it's not different. life is getting more expensive here. and i think canada is a beautiful country, especially ontario. i always heard only good things about your country.
and you've great airsoft fields in the area of toronto, ottawa and montreal. am i right? |
