Use it exactly as you would in the summertime, rubber gets cold no matter what you put on it, and it needs lubrication no matter what.
But whatever you do, don't use it below -5, that's the typical problematic killing temp for airsoft guns |

Played a game in -20'C once (-36'C with windchill), 3/4 of the guns broke between cracked bodies, snapped tappets, and jammed hopup rubbers (not really broken, just don't work in the cold.)
I play at the mill in Quebec and we often play in -10 to -15'C but its indoor so no wind chill. As far as I know nothing major has broken there due to cold. The CA249 has a brick of a mechbox so no real worries about that, ver.2 mechboxes are the only ones that really need to worry in the cold. Also batteries die out in the cold and I think I read that its not healthy for the batteries to run em in the cold (like -20'C) so make sure you use a large pack, mini's don't do well. |

Along with LUTNIT's advice, I'd like to add that Ni-Cad's work better than Ni-Mh's in the cold. If all you have is a Ni-Mh, get those small hard warmers and stick them in the stock, or tape two to either side of the battery.

I totally forgot about that....
Yeah, when I was using a large 8.4V 2400mAh NiCd it tanked through winter games with no loss to ROF or run time, NiMh batteries will have a reduced ROF in the cold at a minimum. |

don't hit any trees or fall on it the folding bipod is one of the weakest i've seen, other than that lot's of lube and keep the internal dry, my top started to rust out after one game in the winter.
