ECHO 1 Phantom II
I'm a newbie and I'm looking at getting my first airsoft. I am looking at one of these for $225.00 over the border. Does anyone have any good or bad things to dsay about them? They say there is a 30 day waranty. Should I be concerned?

Yes you should be concerned...it won't make it over the border, it will be seized by customs and then you're short $225 US.

You can't order guns from the US. No, there is no way around it. No, we don't care if you're father's brother's best friend's former roomate did it. The only way you can get one in Canada is to get age verified and see if someone will import one for you. Anymore questions?

The guy at the store told me that if I took it apart and brought it over in pieces that it could come ovr ok. Said he has customers do it all the time. I was more concerned about the quality and durability of it with only 30 days waranty.

You're physically smuggling an AEG across the border could have serious legal repercussions. I'd suggest just getting AV'd here and buying perfectly legal (albeit pricier than the US) AEGs from some of the local guys. The guy at the store is ignorant or negligent as it's not his ass at the border getting caught.

People here have been doing this a lot longer than you have. If there was a way to easily get these across the border, we would. What you are talking about is smuggling and it is illegal and we will not suggest it. The guy at the store just wants to make money -of course he's going to tell you you can do it. And as GSK88 said, he's not the one that's going to get a nasty letter from CBSA or charged at the border with attempted smuggling. Get age verified, or if you're not 18, wait until you are 18, get age verified and buy guns here in Canada legally.

Sorry, I just read that Gryphon post a couple times. Thanks.
The guy at the store said that this airsoft is about $400.00 in Canada but I can't find one on the net. |

You can't find one because the only place you can get quality is from this website or one or two others who are still affiliated with ASC. I know for a fact there's a retailer here who can bring one in...provided you prove you're 18+ by getting age verified here.

There are only a couple of stores in Canada. Most of the retailers are here on the forum, and you have to be age verified to access them. Seriously though, for $400 you can get a better gun than an Echo1.

Your profile says you're 22, so here's the list of Age Verifiers, just find one that's somewhat accessible to you and within a week or two you can purchase better guns from our various retailers.
