Looking for recommendation of a pistol flashlight.
Hey, I am trying to find a lower rail mounted flashlight for a WE Hi-Capa 5.1 something that is a balance of price and quality. I have seen many pistol flashlights going for 150$ USD and I will duct tape my cellphone onto my gun before I pay that for a flashlight. I would assume that the price reflects the Lumins rating and the quality but paying more for the flashlight than the gun is my limit. Any suggestions are welcome, I wouldn't say that I'm a cheap ass....just very "thrifty" and go by the rule of "If I can make it for half the price, why buy it." so with that in mind nothing to expensive.

I just bought one for my TM 5.1 from Illusion for $100. I also saw one at Army Issue in Missy for $60 (I think), but you had to flick it on and off (no push button).

You can get many interesting models in the 50-75 range for clones in stores like Ehobby Asia, usually clones of the M3.

I have a G&P M3 weaponlight, and it's CRAZY bright, and has a ton of range.

Not to hijack, but how bright is 65 lumens anyways? That seems to be the average and Wikipedia didn't really explain too well.

65 is good for most jobs; it will light up a room while being more humane than full sized weaponlight models.
IIRC from Surefire's site, their G2 (@60 lumens) was 4-6 times more powerfull than the average 4D Maglite. Surefire.com for more info... |
