CA G36K
hey guys, do any of you own or have played with this gun?

Consensus is the CA version is probably the best overall G36 make around, if only for the stronger body. CA had a reputation of really bad pistons (I replaced quite a few), but this may have changed in the last few years.
The "K" variant is probably the best overall version. Short enough to use indoor/CQB but long enough to get decent range outdoor. The scope is reasonably decent. I've run with a couple of TM conversions, a G36KVSD and an MG36V and never had any issues with the TM body. When I made the conversions, no one had a "K" or full sized G36 out, only TM had the "C version.

I have a g36C myself the body takes a beating and keeps running... However the magwell and the sight rail broke when I took a fall.. replaced it with a private parts magwell so I could use m4 mags and it works great... never had any problems with the cylinder... Overall a good weapon

I have the G36 but have yet to game or even test fire it. From my reading around, its a bit power hungry but you can only fit a mini 8.4v battery in with the hand guard. I'm debating whether to take the gun apart and rewire it all to the back and buy the G&P folding stock that fits a large battery or buy a new hand guard with rail mounts and attach a battery PEQ, which I may end up doing over the former. I had a little trouble working the wires to the rear but ended up sticking it back the way it was plus it should be a little less expensive and less work required though the draw back would be having the gun front heavy.

CA G36 of any varient is likely the best choice. I would say the best, but I've only had experience with the TM and CA. The CA is bounds ahead of the TM especially ing the look and feel department.

Great gun I own the G36C, CA makes the best G36 out there, the body is fiber glass and does it ever stand up. And great internals for a stock gun, hits hard then the TM stock.
