Lemon? Uhh.. you tell me...

Ok, this is my 1400mah 8.4v Intellect.
I purchased it, and when I recieved it, it would not charge on my smart charger. So reading a little on the forums i found out i should jumpstart it with a wall charger.
So I did that.
It started to charge on my smart charger.
Then I put it down to use the next day... It was completly dead to the point of where I couldn't charge it with my smart charger again.
I tried again... jumped it... it began to charge... Dead the next day without any use.
So today, this was my 4th time trying this... Jumped it, then charged it and heard a noise about 10 mins later sounding like popcorn! It was still charging and not completed... this is what it looks like now!
Btw I did not overcharge once, nor did I undercharge. The charger works fine because I tried another battery on it without any problems. Also I might add, I was lucky to hear it as 20 seconds longer and it would have burnt through my countertop! I grabbed it by the wire and through it outside.

In my opinion it sounds like it had a short in the connections between the cells. Did you ever fire a gun with the battery? If so, did it feel "slow" compared to another battery of similar power?

I have the same battery and it's a total dud.

Barely holds a charge.

Came from A&A Airsoft so zero chance of any customer satisfaction from Mark Anderson.

Well, if it IS your charger that's the problem, then i would be careful to not buy another battery and fry it also on your "broken" charger (i'm also having a similar dilemma). So is there any way you can test it with a cheap battery?

From what I've seen, they're more expensive than most!

definately a short somewhere in the connections, from the complete discharging and the 'popcorn' action of the battery. I would suggest either buying a higher quality battery (many trusted and quality brands around) or, if you are skilled with a soldering iron, making your own batteries, then you know exactly what you're getting. You can get batteries either with tabs pre soldered, or just get tabs in addition to the batteries, at your local hobby shop. This is beneficial especially since you can create higher capacity batteries than are normally 'economically' produced.

*Only attempt making your own batteries if you are 100% sure you know what you are doing.
