KJW compatibility
so with a recent trade of GBB's with BBS i have a KJW P14.45 and well i would like to find out what parts are compatible with KJ, some of the parts i want to replace right know are the grips, barrel, slide catch and safety
-the current outer barrel as a ABC chamber and metal barrel i would like to either get a single piece outer barrel or replace the chamber so its metal as well. -well the woods i have are nice they to wide and because of the wide grips i cant reach the slide catch with my strong hand thumb i need to use and weak and and i can barely reach the mag catch. -the slide catch is worn and doesn't work unless i lock the slide manually and when i release the slide the catch doesn't pull the mag fallower down so the blow back chamber is stopped - the safety is just personal and the left slide safety doesnt really work either so i just gunna replace it. so if wan can answer that would be great. you will need to look at the Western Arms range of of P14.45 items -this is what the KJW p14 is partially based on.

If it is the one I think...
I still have the stock plastic grips, a damaged slide and some odd ends in a baggie somewhere. I have the bushing in there. If it is brushed finish with some VERY large wood grips (held in place by silver screw with a purple/pink ring on each), and a bull barrel instead of the bushing style of a reg para... Here is the last pics I had: You would have to find a PRE-Magna WA metal chamber to install in there. Otherwise, you would have to change the whole hop-up/barrel/rubber/chamber/outerbarrel. I don't know about the catch, but the sticking slide is because the followers of the mags are getting worn. They have a notch grooved on the tip and this is where the nozzle get stuck. You can open the mags and file the followers at an angle so that the nozzle don't grab the edge. If you are looking for parts, most parts made for WA will fit. Stay away from Sheriff parts. For some reason they never work properly (the hammer is a Sheriff one. Needed a lot of work to fit) |
