TM Hi-capa cycling problem
Hi,
First off, I've been trying very hard to solve this problem myself, searching airsoft canada's own forum and other airsoft forums. I've found a great amount of information and a great manual for the hi-capa, but nothing I've done solve my problems. It's a great pistol, I like it very much, but I can't use it as much as I'd like to since it doesn't work properly. I've bought some extra magazines, a great serpa holster and I want this Hi-capa to work and be trusty. The pistol is clean and well lubricated. The pistol has a metal slide, a 150 % spring and a enhanced loading muzzle (Guarder). I did try to put back the stock plastic slide, but it's not better. The pistol doesn't cycle properly. On an empty magazine, the slide doesn't go to the locked position. The slide doesn't seem to go all the way back to catch the locking mechanism. The trigger also has some problems. Too often, it seems stuck and I can't pull the trigger back and the pistol won't fire. On certain occasion, the pistol also double feeds and a BB just rolls it's way out of the barrel. The safety is also hard to put back up in the ''safe'' position. But that's minor.. Please, give me a hand on this one, it would really be great. Thank you for your time, Colin |

Sounds like you might have some trouble with the (leaf?) springs i think they're called. You also might have trouble with that loading nozzle. Where are you located?

Hi,
I'm located in Montreal. The leaf spring should be fine (I guess), it's on top of everything. I've tried both the stock and guarder loading nozzle, but the pistol doesn't cycle right.. |

You changed out the valve from inside the nozzle right?

Yes, I did it everytime I switched nozzle.

You're probably best off sending it to somebody who knows their way in and out of a Hi-Capa to look at it. e-Diagnosing GBBs having problems like this is generally damn near impossible and very frustrating.

I suspect that your outer barrel is getting gnawed at by the slide. Many aftermarket slides are not very compatible with stock TM outer barrels. They often chew up the engagement surfaces at the rear of the barrel and the locking lugs forward of the chamber cover. If those areas are bashed up, then you're kind of SOL.
