I recently got an MP5J by TM. I love it since it is my first REAL, not the knock off's, AEGs. Trouble is i dont like how the battery doesn't fit in the hand guard. Luckily i have a tactical flashlight hand guard which makes it a little bit bigger to fit. But what about the people who have just the stock handguard? What do you people do? :banghead:

Um, a normal mini battery is a little bit of a tight fit, but it fits fine.

I guess. I just get afraid that when trying to fit in the battery that it might bend my barrel lol

I had my stock JG MP5 and never had an issue fitting the battery. I prefer with the full stock and large battery now.

I had a stock TM Mp5-a5...battery was a bitch to get in...full stock all the way.

yeah. I prefer full stocks for feel and look. But having the large battery is awesome.

Put the battery in with the wires pointing forwards. By that I mean, the part of the battery pack that has the wires coming out, point that towards the end of the barrel.
It's not really nessessary but I find that i fits better, but I do understand your issue, also make sure all the wires are clear of getting pinched.

Yeah. Full stock seems nicer. I have a A4 stock but it's really cheap. I had a palco mp5 before and it broke. That was the reason why i ended up getting the TM one. I however took the A4 stock from the crappy one and it attaches fine. I am still debating whether to stick with retractable or fixed. In time I will find out. I hear wiring it is easy too.

Muffin, I am so scared of fitting it in. I pinched my wires and one of the leads is longer than the other.

You can grab a quality full stock from a huge variety of retailers, and yes rear wiring an MP5 is a sinch.
The foregrip is designed to carry a mini battery pack. It will fit.
I got a JG MP5-J for a friend that was also a tight fit, I didn't force it in a way that anything could break, but it is designed to hold one.
Place the battery in the way I told you, slide the wider part up againist the cocking tube and upper receiver, then pivot from there pushing the front up.
Once the front of the fore grip is close to the pin hole, it does get tough, just be sure no wires are hindering its movement, and push until the holes line up, and jam the pin in there.
Done deal.

cant you dremel or file a little on the inside of the handguard to make the battery slide in a little looser?
and i saw what he said about the wires pinching. i wonder about that myself. is it bad to have your wires all jammed and bunched up? in the stocks of my kraken and hk 416 the wires practically have to be all jammed into a little space in order for the battery covers to close. is that gonna hurt them?

Not as long as you don't abuse them, I usually tape my wires as much out of the way as possible. But still, over time with sliding batteries in and out, it can tear the insulation of the wires.

i dont have any problems with sliding over the wires or anything. its just after the battery is in and then theres no room for all the wires and the large connectors and fusebox so then they all end up jammed in tightly

Take out the fuse and fusebox.

yea but i like having that calming feeling knowing that if my battery has problems itll blow the fuse before damaging the gearbox

Very unlikely to happen unless you're holding down the trigger for a while with a jam or the gun not firing.
