Lightbulb Red Dot Sights!

Ok, so ive been looking at some optics for when i get my G36c, i was mostly looking at replica Red Dot Sights, or Replica EoTechs. Some of the high quality ones can cost anywhere from like $80-200. But then i found some nice Bushnell optics. http://www.shopbushnell.com/product_...ARCH=red%20dot

The reason these caught my eyes is that there a fair price, and there not a replica, there the real deal. Just wanted to see you opinion on them , and if any of you own these, id like to know how they are out in the feild.

Mike.

I personally buy $25 reflex sights from eBay and they work great(brightness settings and windage/elevation).
I wouldn't spend that much cash on a sight, when replicas work just fine.

^ will only last as long as it doesn't get shot out.

I recently got a 42mm RDS for like $50ish from Canadian Paintball (had online store credit). Works great with multi brightness levels, and I won't care all too much if it gets destroyed. I think it is an NC-Star.

I also have a $15 reflex that is pretty decent and is somewhat disposable. Even hot glued a piece of plastic on the front end to lower the likely hood of getting hit.

I have the 1x30 and I fkin love it; and I'm going to be picking up one of the ehobby reflex sights.

I mean, it's airsoft man, we're not using high-recoil assault rifles. Why drop $100 on a RDS that will be no different than a $20 one? The thing is, you use that extra $80 and the gun will actually shoot where the dot is.

And pusangani can attest to how well my RDS works w/ my AUG

I have one of the older generation (red only) Bushnell Trophy RDS, works fine, but for the pricetag you're looking at I'd consider one of the Aimpoint clones, for several reasons:
  • For looks, Aimpoints look legit mil, a lot of the other stuff, you look like some punk with a paintball gun; if you care about your overall gear impression (you may or may not) this is something to consider;

  • Throw on a Killflash and you have protection from BBs; they're also a popular sight so there's several sources for optics protectors (note thaat a few people will make you custom ones, too, so you can protect just about any sight);

  • Throw lever style mounts, which trump thumbscrew stuff any day.

tycho, that RDS does look sweet for the price!

How's the red dot on high light situations? Like when you play in bright sunlit day?

Alright, it sounds good.. i dont know, i guess i just felt a bit more comfortable with a brand name other than a replica. Cause iv heard some replicas arent very good.. but the majority so far says go with a replica so i probably will..

Still think those bushnell's kicks ass tho
