Devgru Frogman (FM-01) + Saber?
Heyas,
I've been looking all over, but can't seem to find a yay or nay regarding a Devgru Frogman + Saber I/II/III config Is it compatible using a hirose adapter? Has anyone had any luck? Korean retail states that it is Astro/Saber compatible (FM-01 model) However guys like AEX don't have it listed on the compatibility chart. Thanks! |

yeah you will end up better off splicing a saber end from something else into the devgru headset...you can't connect a hirose to the multi one (doesn't work), and its impossible to find the saber end from devgru...
a few of us have done it with great success.

Yea, I figured it would be something like that - so who would be the best Contra to msg regarding a wire splice for the devgru?

We bought a couple of Saber 1E's and I ended up with a Hi-rose adapter and a around-the-head boom mic setup.
When we bought the radios we tried a handful of hi-rose adapaters and none of them worked with the DevGru headset that Techobo gave me. Neither did the adapter that I ended up getting...although the adapters he gave me did work with my boom mic. So...whereas we first thought that it was bum connectors...it might have been a bum headset... Note: None of the stuff from R Nicholls works with a 1E. Fortunately they refunded the full amount. Long and short of it...good freaking luck. I bet there are a bunch of guys out there with at least one or two extra parts from trying to find a working combo. On a positive note. The guys at Xacore and Comtrex are really good to deal with. Best of luck, once they're up and running they're sweet. It's worth it. Tys |
