KWA USP help

hey guys i recently bought a full metal KWA usp and the slide is not very smooth ( the action i mean). I know that new GBB need time to break in, but it just seems that the recoil spring almost has trouble pushing the slide forward. I do use silicone green gas and the slide IS greased.

does anyone know how i can speed up the break-in process?

also, does anyone else have problems with the magazine release not catching? i have to slam the mag in to make sure it does not fall out (it did already)

Use propane, cheaper as well, they tend to have similar problems, I've seen some where pulling the slide back feels a bit chunky, and if done slowly it gets stuck halfway sometimes.

For the magazine and the release, probably break in period, did you look at the mag release on the inside?

thanks for the advice
i was considering using propane, but i feel a signifigant difference the green gas lube makes to the action. maybe when i get high quality silicone...

yea the slide gets sticky at points and i've tried finding where its coming from; its not from the barrel nor the recoil guide rod. its from the slide in contact with lower half

the mag release is fine, i think its that the mag does not go in as much as it should. Im gonna try sanding the base of the mag.

Don't sand the mag.

Take off your slide and SPARINGLY apply a bit lithium or graphite grease along the slide guides.

KWA ones are fitted with very heavy metal slides.

Don't use green gas. Propane is the same thing. The only differences is about 25/bottle (Green) compared to 3/bottle (propane), and with propane you need to put a drop of silly oil in the mag every couple mags worth of gas.

thanks amos

but why not sand the mag? i only need the mag to go into the gun 1mm more

do you think a 150% recoil spring would help?

does anyone know where i can get a cheap propane adapter?

I'm afraid that http://www.airsoft-innovations.com/ is the cheapest, and it comes with a kit :/.. they don't sell the adapter by itself.
