Arrow MGS4: M4 Custom.

Well, it's nearly done.

I've had no end of BS trying to finish this project. For a brief summary of the project, and some more pics, you can visit the site.

Here are some pics to look at until my Sony is charged. Took these with my iPhone. NOT a suitable camera for any purpose, as you'll notice below.

I have bit of dillema with the battery too. I invite you all to offer some suggestions.

Here are my options:
  1. Rear-wire to the buffer tube. Safe, hidden, adds some rear-weight (albeit not much, the LiPo is incredibly light).
  2. Front-wire to the RAS. There is a possibility the battery could be struck by a BB through the holes in the RAS. While you would need an incredibly hot gun to damage the battery to the point of catastrophic failure, I’d rather be on the safe-side. But this is an option.
  3. Front-wire to an AN/PEQ unit. If I can find one that has a built-in laser for cheap - then that’s an added feature I suppose. But it will add more weight to the front-end of the gun, and PEQ units aren’t to everyone’s tastes.

I love it! Get a silencer a flash light and a grip and just mount them making monkey sounds!

PEQ with a front vert grip, you wont notice the extra weight. You'll only fit a small battery if any in the RAS, that and you can see the battery.. I'd avoid that. Personally I like to wire my guns to the rear, if at all possible. Just my personal opinion, great work so far though!

Yeah forgot to tell you that; I'd go with a li-po in the buffer tube. Also, you need a PRI front sight.

Yeah, the main article on the 6mm Mag site details what still needs to be done.

I was going to take the PRI site from the S-System I had intended to use as a base, but the lack of compatible parts from the JG S-System essentially meant I should leave it alone and build from scratch.

So, umm yeah. Time to find a PRI Flip up front sight, and a motor.

As for extras like the PEQ, vert grip, flashlight, EOTech/ACOG that are seen on the gun in-game or CG Renders, I think I'll leave those choices up to whoever ends up owning this thing.

I see it as my responsibility to get it bare-bones running very well, and my main mission is to hide the battery. Looks like it's going to be in the buffer tube.

Awesome man!!!!!! I love it!!! I'm using a PEQ for mine its a VFC brand. It has the same dimensions as the real steel. If your gearbox can handle it you could use a lipo wired to the stock tube like you said.

I should write a parts list for what you would need to build this thing from scratch. Using a base is REALLY frustrating

I already have one. The original intent was to do just that. Build from scratch. Then I saw the S-System in Mopic's thread and thought "Hey, that gun looks like it has most of what I need already!"

Boy was I wrong. Oh well, live and learn.

Oh and the details as to what parts I used are on my site. I'm going to post a full parts list tomorrow or Saturday, whenever I get some extra time.

This project is pretty well wrapped.

One last thing to do - and I'm leaving it to the decision of the new owner.

Here's some pics:
