A good start when I turn 19?
So Im saving up for when Im 19. The second I turn 19 Im getting a airsoft gun and going to start to play. Since Im 15 I got 3 years to save up for some guns . So here what I think I would like to save for I'll post links to the items as well, and feedback on my choices for when I start in a few years would be great! Also, I've heard that buy airsoft.ca isn't that great. But I think to start with it would work.
ICS MP5 A4- I like MP5's so I found this one and thought I would start with it. Dones come with a battery/charger so I would have to get one. Intellect 8.4V Battery (For MP5)- The battery for my MP5 The charger for my battery -The charger 200 round MP5 mags - So I thought about getting 3-4 of these for the MP5 so I'd have to reload less, next is the mag clamp. MP5 Dual Mag Clamp- So I thought I would get one or two depending on how many mags I get, to make changing mags quicker. Metal Rail Mount for MP5's Just so I can add a scope if I want. Tactical Scope - So I can put a scope on every now and then. Tactical Vest - Self explaining TOTAL: $883.00 When I added it all up I wasnt surprised about the total cost, as when you start it would seem to be the most expensive, so anything bad/problems with what I would like to get in a few years? |

Dont forget prices may also change in 3 years, you can either end up spend more or less.
Im not going to comment on AEGs today, but I'll throw some comments on there on the other stuff. However I would recommend you get your batterys from http://www.cheapbatterypacks.com/?sid=1148815 I would also recommend a good inital investment into a quality charger. Those silly wall chargers are not the best. If I can make a suggestion http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...oducts_id=1030 Its a great quality charger. Your idea for 200 mags is good, Id probly mix it up a little and get some lower ones too. Some fields have ammo carrying restrictions, and well highcaps are all fine and dandy if you dont like reloading but I dont like how they rattle and the constant winding that is needed. However thats you preference and to each their own. The tactical vest you have choosen is not worth 90 dollars, its a simple cross draw vest that can be picked up on ebay for sometimes as low as 40 dollars. http://cgi.ebay.com/BLACK-POLICE-TAC...QQcmdZViewItem Im hoping you were just using buyairsoft for the sake of links, because they have been known to unreliable, not saying they are, but if you research in this websites review section you will see that a fair handful of people have had difficulties with them. Who knows in 3 years they may have shaped up or gone out of business. In 3 years there may be other additional retailers you can pick and choose from. However in time your choices may change as well. Best of luck.

Woo, someone who's looking towards the future! Anyway, your list seems pretty good, but you need goggles, haha.
You can buy just about everything you need for airsoft... except your gun. Good luck.

You're 15. I know it sounds like a great idea to save now.. but do you honestly think that will happen? You'll be 16 soon.. you'll want to drive etc etc. A lot will change within 3 years :P (with yourself and with airsoft in general)
Just keep learning to prepare yourself. (oh and when you do turn 18 and get age verified.. you'll be opened up to a huge world of good shit to buy.. none of this buyairsoft clearsoft junk. Even full packages for a guy just starting out)

Yeah I can buy googles localy, as well as the BB's, and clear plastic guns that will be in the garbage in a few months, so I thought about investing into this. As T7 said about smaller mags, I could only find 50 and 200 round mags for the MP5. I was also thinking about saving for a side arm like a small CO2 pistol, but didnt see any nice ones on buyairsoft.ca....

Heres the thing about that.
Theyve all sorta been hidden away until you turn 18, and I mean that in a sense that you will gain access to them with you turn 18. For example theres a retailer that until you have ASC age verifaction you can only see clearsoft. When you have ASC verifacation you will have access to their expanded stock.

Basically theres stuff for sale on here and other sites that you can only get access to by being 18 and getting age verified. Its like pounding vag for the first time, once you've tried it its like a new world opens and theres plenty to go around.

This website has a process called age verification, where if you are 18 or older you can meet with a volunteer representative of this website who will meet with you in person, there is no way around this, no phone, no webcam, in person only, where they will require to see a legitimate piece of photo identification. After the process is completed, it can take sometime as this is all volunteer work, you will be granted access to this websites buy and sell section, where you can find both new and used guns, for fair and competitive prices. Although its not always the case, it is sort of an open market.
And yes there are people on this website that run a business selling airsoft, but you have to be verified buy this website before they will sell to you.

The two best retailers.. the classifieds and shootsoft, both require ASC age verifacation to access.

Not Eye Safe, Pretty Boy Maximus on the field take his picture!
|
For mags, check field rules. Some fields only let you use 4 midcaps, but unlimited lowcaps.

No it isn't. There is no legal requirement outside of Ontario.
