Looks like it's suggesting that the stock battery compartment on a gun doesn't have enough room to take a 9.6v large battery without modification. That's not exactly true, as quite a few guns that holds batteries in their rear shoulder stock have enough room for a 9.6v.

In any case, if you're buying battery, get it from cheapbatterypacks.com or even HK retailers instead. Much cheaper, far more up to date packs.

Holy hell those prices are insane. I hate to suggest doing business outside of Canada but Ken's charging a multiple-hundred-percent markup. Check out http://www.cheapbatterypacks.com/mai...g&type=airsoft

Yeah, look at the 8.4v 600mah NiCd mini for $65CDN. I wouldn't even pay for $10CDN for that today, not with the completely superior NiMH minis available for the last 3 years.

NiCd have their place, more robust, higher discharge currents and their chemistry is less affected by the cold weather.
Why do you think Systema recommends them for their PTWs?

Any actual charging unit with settings, like a TLP or BBBastard charger for example. Avoid the ones that come with guns (you know, the little adapters that plug into the wall and have a battery plug coming out on a long wire.

That charger works up to 10.8V it will work for any battery you could realistically use in airsoft. A 12V isn't usually used except for those that push their guns to the breaking point.
It looks like a good buy.

The one you're looking at is 9.6V
