Newbie blaster?

Hey, olbviously I'm new to the site, and somewhat new to airsoft. I recently got ym first airsoft gun for free from a friend of mine, cause the barrel was cracked. All I know is its a spring powered one, pistol. And the side has "stinger p30" on the side. It's clear plastic and won't shoot straight. Crappy. So I'm looking at buyairsoft.ca and looking at the different options, and thought you guys would be able to tell me what ones are good to start with, and ones that are not. Just one thing I don't want to get a sniper rifle, I'm probally going to spend about 300-400 dollars. And would like one that is a AEG or something like it that I can mount a light, laser pointer, or scope to. Any help would be great. And I hope that this is in the right forum. I did read a few of the FAQ's just in case your wondering

If your over 18, get age verified. If your willing to spend $400 you can get something decent in the classifieds.

If you're 18+, get verified my an ASC member nearest you, you'll then get access to the classifieds with private dealers. Fill out your profile with your age and location so we can better help you.

I'm afraid you're out of luck then.

Buyairsoft.ca sells crap airsoft.

Being under 18 means you will not be able to attend Canadian games.

Save up for the next 3 years and you'll be able to buy some of the best gear and play at all the best games.

Sorry, you'll have to be 18 to be age verified. The system is in place precisely to keep guns out of the hands of minors, even if your mom says you can have it. Please understand that airsoft's situation in Canada right now is rather shaky, and kids running around with realistic-looking fake guns only hurt airsoft and endangers your chances of playing when you are 18+, so we appreciate your cooperation.

Don't forget that when you're 18 you can PLAY.

What's the fun in having a pretty weapon if you can't use it? xD

That would be best man, you'll only find yourself frusterated with the items you could get from buyairsoft. I'd reccomend you hang around on the ASC forums and learn about the sport, do your research before asking questions, etc. Welcome to ASC.

Also, if you get a parent to come with you, you can attend certain airsoft events as a spectator. Be sure to ask to event hosts before hand and ensure that your guardian stays with you at the event, they cannot just drop you off and pick you up.

One problem with attending events. In the town I live in there is not a single airsoft group team events, etc. So all we have is a few of my buddies go out in the bushes and do there own game... Ussaly doesnt work out though

That's a good way to get shot by local law enforcement.

Which town is it?
