WGC Custom Guns

I've been shopping around for a new gun recently and came across the WGC Custom guns. I've searched around and found a few things, but still had a few questions for anyone who's had experience with one. They're almost identical to the G&Ps and I was wondering if they normally require any tweaking right out of the box like a lot of G&Ps seem to. If so no big deal, I've never worked on an AEG before but I'm plenty willing to learn. I was just hoping to find out what to expect before I actually ordered.

Usually custom guns from companies like WGC, UNC and Redwolf come pre-tuned.

They usually just up-mod G&P's if they're WGC guns.

It's a G&P gun that's been assembled by WGC, I think you still need to shim the mechbox though.
But atleast you know the gun was assembled properly, some of G&Ps quality control people must do some serious drug abuse or something...

Awesome, thanks for the responses guys. Just out of curiosity since I've never worked on the internals of an AEG, if I needed to, how difficult is it to shim the mechbox?

I would say its a moderately difficult task to do. It takes time and paitence. However there are some websites online that can assist you with the task.

mechbox.com but if you're not sure don't do it yourself trust me!, in the states, most walk-in stores have techs that can do that for you

I realize you're from CO, but maybe there's a local airsoft forum you can find help at for the mechanical side of things if you can't/ aren't willing to do it on your own. I was able to find this on the goog:

http://www.coloradoairsoft.org/

You might find better help with the internals there. Good Luck

Thanks for bringing that site back to mind, I used to spend some time there, but forgot all about it when I moved to Texas. Now that I'm back in Colorado that'll be a good start. Thanks again for all the help guys, gonna hold out for another week, save a little more cash and shell out for a VFC SCAR.

If your doing mechbox work, keep in mind there's no such thing as gear timing in there.
