DMR Gear Questions
As the title suggests I'm trying to figure out what kind of vests or belt would make a good Marksman setup. I'd prefer it to be light and off-side (lots of creeping and running) but I'd like to know what more experienced people think. I did find this useful thread: http://airsoftcanada.com/showthread....ght=sniper+mag
but any info would help. I guess the biggest problem is trying to find magpouches small enough for the cut-down SPR mags, but right now I was considering mostly old gear like an ALICE setup or even the M56/65 setup, with a leg pouch, seeing as the mags are a similar size. Again, any help and tips would be greatly appreciated.

Okay, so I'm going to bump and boil it down. I'm looking for a vest/webbing that fits shorty M-series mags nicely. Anyone have any experience?

im just using a Plate carrier without plates, and customizing it with pouches. Remember, a DM moves with the squad and is tasked with accurate longer range fire when compared to the rest of the squad. My vest is going to have 6 mags, hydration pouch, and some side pouches on the cumberbund. I will even be sporting a MICH helmet.

I've seen that belt before, does it clip onto a duty belt/suspenders, or is it the belt? I guess I'm wondering how compatible/modular it is. As for a plate carrier, I've been considering it because I could strap a lot of stuff onto it, but I'd definitely have to learn to be frugal with putting stuff on it.

its not modular, it as loops on it so you need a 2 inch wide belt such as riggers belt or a simple bdu belt. You simply have to make the belt go trought the loops of the pants and the waitpack. I just love it. It allows me to carry either 4 sr-25 mags or 6 m16 mags or 2 huge maritime type smoke grenade. You also have a middle pouch to carry med kit and a rope compatiment. Very versatile piece of kit. I recommand to all snipers out there.

This is great stuff. I think I've got it down to an ALICE belt, suspenders and the waistpack. Throw in a thigh holster and a camelbak, and there's enough to last for a bit, and it's nice and light. I chose ALICE because even though it's outdated, it works great, and I can switch out the waistpack for magpouches and a bigger buttpack for longer games, or I could even attach a MOLLE surround belt to it. The only thing now is getting a sling....
