Version 8 AK???

just wondering if anyone has one of these?? also is the version 8 gearbox any good??

i heard about this gun about a month ago and amazingly it has a recoil system.
having a version 8 gearbox is better than V3

normal ak have the V3 gearboxes, but the recoil one like this one has the Version 8

I am willing to bet money that some part of the blowback mechanism will have inherent failures. Not much money. But money nonetheless.

I'd rather have echo's new ak... apart from this new Marui, its the only AK74 with the full stock that actually folds... Unless, of course, you spend hundreds on some kit from Inokatsu or the like for a standard V3 Marui.

i just got my hands on the new echo ak74, and its all metal except the handguards and grip, shoots nice too

I would think that the simulated blowback system would either

1. drain the battery faster or

2. steal some of the power from the piston itself

or possibly both.

Still really nice tho

A live AK bolt carrier travels more then twice that.

I thought this gearbox is actually a version 9, not 8.
