HFC Glock

i've got a HFC darkhawk glock. but recently i've been running into some problems. the other day i loaded it up, cocked it back pulled the trigger and the slide locked(or so i thought) i realized that it fired the BB but the slide only went back half way and just stuck! it acts as if its jammed somewhere, now its not an ammo issue because it fires everytime.
but when it jams i gotta pull on the slide real hard backwards and then it goes back to its form, but this happens every single time i fire it.
where the shell ejection port is there is a metal cover underneath the slide i'm wondering if that would be where my problems are coming from.
i can pull the slide till it locks and slide it forward with no problems manually, only when i fire it, it gets stuck. any ideas?

How long have you used it?
If it's a heavily used gun it could be that your recoil spring has worn out.

here are some reviews. i remember one of them talking about a problem like this. you were not too clear on the model, so here is both (either a Glock, or a Darkhawk):

Darkhawk Review

Here is the list of possible reviews for your possible gun:

My HFC Glock (not the DarkHawk) that I just got has the same problem. What it seems to be is the slide is jamming up against the chamber (where on a real steel the spent rounds would come out) and would not cycle the slide all the way, usually just about half way.

I did take the slide off the frame, and tried to see what the culprit was, but to no avail, so I guess anyone who is familiar with the HFC/TM Glocks can come up with a reason, I'll also be all ears.

Turns out Muffin found a way to circumvent the problem with the outer barrel jamming against the slide. I'll just copy and paste the PM Muffin sent over to me:

Quote:
i took it completely apart and the only thing that i could think that was causing this was that chamber under the cut-out of the slide jamming the slide half way. so i took it out, and took it to a grinding wheel and knocked it down just a bit, i did it on all 3 sides so it wouldn't look too stupid, but after knocking it down a bit it cycles perfectly, it empties a full mag and locks at the end of the mag. i know its probably not the best solution, but it works awesome know, so yah i just figured i'd pass that on to you maybe if thats the route you want to go,
What I just did for mine instead of going at the blocky ends of the outer barrel that is supposed to be the mock chamber, I took a grinder to the bottom edge and now it works fine. All thats wrong with it now is that the slide catch keeps going up maybe 1/3 times, sometimes after every shot, even though the mag still has rounds in it. Also there is still some friction somewhere causing it to double feed sometimes but some good ol' lube can take care of that.

Anyway, just thought I would post the solution so it can go to the proper section now.
