JG 416 firing weird
Just got the gun back from the Doc in the other city. It got reshimmed and metal bushings put in but not it's shooting a little weird.
Every 20th BB is seems on single and full auto fires about a foot off to the left and 6 inches lower than the rest. At first I thought it was just the Metal Tech BBs (no offense meant lol, just meant the random off flying BBs that are in every batch) but that one off flying BB hits in the same spot TO THE INCH as the other off flying ones. Any ideas? It wasn't doing this before and I have no idea what it could be. |

My guess is the hopup too, but who knows.

Check to make sure everything is fitting in the upper reciever properly. Like the other said its most likly the hopup. Make sure the little spring is still on the top of the hopup, and double check to make sure everything is aligned. It seems as though every now and then during fire your hopup wants to move or something making the next BB go random.

What do you mean resetted the hopup? When I tried to adjust the hopup I had noticed that it was all the way up to the point that I had to push really hard to get it unstuck from all the way up just to decrease it. This might have happened at the CQB game....

I had this happen to me also except it was every 5 shots or so, I took the hop-up and barrel out to check what was wrong, turned the hopup back and forth, figured I didn't find anything but it turned out to be fixed somehow....

Reseated. Meaning he took the gun apart and the barrel and hopup out and took it apart and put it back on the barrel.

Try it with BB Bastards. If you still get the same flyer you are complaining about, at least you know to yell "FUCK, YOU BASTARD!!!!" Can't get that satisfaction from any other BBs ya know.

I was stupid.... found the problem....
Seems the silencer on the end of the gun has foam inserts... seems there is no "inner" section to it. The foam is shedding I guess you could say and when you look down the silencer it sort of looks like a spiderweb. I was hoping running a cloth down inside would help but it just seemed to make it worse. Once I took the silencer off, the gun shot perfect, even with the short inner barrel. The only thing I can think of doing is installing a tightbore barrel to run through the length of the gun as well as the silencer. |

If you can open up that silencer, you can re-line the inside with foam instead of that cottony stuff. Not only would that prevent interference with the shots, it'll also muffle the sound better.

Upholstery or slabs of packing foam would work.

Another option would be to quickly hit the inside of the silencer with an open flame to burn off those loose strands of foam. If you're careful, you should be able to do this pretty easily.
