Suggestions?
Hello everyone, I'm new to both this forum AND airsoft so I would appreciate suggestions and advice from whoever will help. I've been playing paintball for a few years and grew tired of it because the milsim feel isn't quite on par with airsoft.
I've been looking around for a gun to start off with and I'm torn between TM's G3 SG1 and CA's CA33E, I've read some pretty good reviews about both but I'm not sure which to get, I've heard that the TM has a bit of body creaking, what's your choice? I've been reading that most of the G3 SG1 is plastic with not much metal whereas the CA33E is mostly metal. So, which would be a better buy; I would hope that the CA would be a better deal because the body is metal and I wouldn't have to upgrade the body. In short, which should I buy and what upgrades should I get (even though this isn't the right forum) 007 Airsoft has the G3 SG1 for $570 and the CA33E at $740. 007 does not have those guns at the moment. To see what Ken has for sale click on "In Stock" on his site. Having said that, if you're 18+ you should look into getting age-verified. That way you'll be able to see the guns for sale by other ASC members. Finally, here's the link to the FAQs http://www.airsoftcanada.com/forumdisplay.php?f=21.

Welcome to ASC. And as Scooby already pointed out, if you're 18+, get age verified and you'll be able to find great guns at better prices in the classifieds section.
And as he also pointed out, read the FAQs. It will save you a lot of misery here and prevent you from asking the same questions that have already been asked 194 387 times in the past week. You'll find that people are much more willing to help you out to clarify any questions you have about the info in the FAQs and information section than they will be to answer questions that are already answered therein. As for your question about the guns. I personally have a TM M4 (now it's upgraded into a C8A2) and a stock Classic Army M15 rifle. To me, there's no comparing the 2 stock. The CA wins hands down, and was easily worth the extra money I paid over the cost of a TM. I would never buy another stock plastic TM when there's an all-metal CA version available. If you're going to buy a plastic gun, your best bet is to buy one of the better China clones (namely, Jong Gong) and upgrade. You can have a fully upgraded metal gun with upgraded internals for about the price of a stock TM. Even if you upgrade only the internals, you'll have a premium high performance gun for less than the price of a weak, stock TM.
