need some advice on a UMP. 45
OK so i picked up a p90 a few monthes back, love it to death, and upgraded the hell out of it. so now Im on the journey for another gun. I love the style of the UMP .45, but ive heve been reading alot of negative things about the airsoft versions available out there. im wondering what you guys think. is there one out there that does not have a ton of issues? If I am gunna buy another gun I would like it to be as close to the real thing as possable, (after all thats what makes airsoft the best) and from what ive seen from star and G&G thats not gunna happen. so do I have alternatives? also I was reading (G&G) I think it is has a few versions of the gun and the final version has all the markings and is alot more accurate is this true?

In my opinion, the G&G UMG (Uber Machine Gun, for some reason) is your best bet if you want a realistic gun, search up "guay guay umg" on google and click the arnies airsoft link, a great, quality review on the gun. I've been looking in to picking one of these up myself, there aren't enough UMP style guns.

Who takes the time to look at the trades on your gun while your shooting them anyway?
Honestly, pay no mind to anything people say about the internals. It's a G&G, they're crap internals, it's a given. But why care if you wanna upgrade it anyway? The externals are nice, good plastic body on it, feels like the CA36 series, good feel to it, nicer than TM. It boasts magazines with the strongest springs I've ever seen, you won't ever have to replace or lube these mags lol Alright, so in order to get it shooting good you need: (systema everything); piston head, cylinder head, piston, spring guide, hopup rubber. You need the piston because the stock G&G piston won't take the systema piston head. I only shimmed the bevel gear, it's really the only gear that you need to worry about shimming. Anyway thats what I have in my UMG and its got fantastic range and accuracy with 310fps (I put a stock CA spring in). |

My favorite type of gun, and thanks TC for the info, it'll come in handy for when I get one myself. And another good review is actually from airsplat: http://www.airsplat.com/Items/ER-GG-UMG.htm
