AUSCAM

So I have been searching high and low for a supplier of AUSCAM or DCPU whatever you want to call it. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

eBay. Otherwise Digger Militaria, Soldier's Shop or other surplus place in Australia that has a web presence.

Ebay but there isn't much there, I tried Ebay.com.au but almost none of the sellers are willing to ship outside of Australia

I've been trying to keep an eye on eBay by it looks like it's most pouches and odds and ends that turn up there.

These guys are said to be a good source for clothing, http://www.wellingtonsurplus.com.au/

And then there's here for pouches etc., http://www.platatac.com/

http://www.sordaustralia.com generally has higher quality gear than platatac. I have kit from both manufacturers and prefer SORD's products over Platatac.

I am looking to make an AUSCAM load out. So Shirt, Pants, Hat, and a vest of any sort.

I also noticed that platatac has like a digi AUSCAM. NO one uses those right?

I'd get this as it comes with the world famous Canadian style buttons we all know and love. http://www.kitbag.com.au/prod932.htm

There is a lot out there when you search, but not much cheap. There's an Italian guy in the Aussie sub forum who has tons, you could PM him for info.

A trip down under might wind up being the best idea, or lurking on the buy and sell here for a used set.

As an edit I'd like to add another set of pants, a jacket, and a camelbak carrier to mine along with a set of the desert Auscam just in case someone chimes in with "well I have something I don't use".

I'll check the local Surplus joints next time I'm that way. What sizes are you looking for? I can't promise anything, as the good quality new Issue stuff they get goes pretty quick ... but I can check it out.

That Digital Auscam that Platatac makes isn't an 'official' pattern. It's not in use by any Govt. Department. It's just something they decided to put onto the market themselves.

I am a 28 waist so it'll probably be a medium pants and probably a medium jacket. I am 5'6 and weight about 125lbs.

More like a small-regular which is what I use if I can't find a small-short. I'm a 29" waist, 130lbs and 5'5".

Just so you all know ... DPCU's are sized in CM's. Not inches, or L, XL etc.
