ok so im looking to get in to airsoft and i'm looking on google for the gun that suts me wat i found was the "Warrior L96" looks good from the stats

-o and btw is 460-480FPS good ? thats like 150m right? anyway just wana know if this is a good gun to start with.

-right know the only place that i know of for buying the Warrior L96 is at buyairsoft.ca and it sells at like 300 $ca is ther a other place i can get it cheaper in Canada?

-im willing to spend 200-350 on a real good airsoft sniper anything in mind?

A sniper is a bad gun to start with.

A good sniper cost around $800-$1200.

Your best bet right now is to get age verified. There are guns in the classifieds that go for 200$ and up, and pretty much everything is available at any time.

Other than that, 007 airsoft and A&A are the only retailers of airsoft guns in Canada.

Buy airsoft should really change their domain name to garbagesoftair.ca anyways lets move on.

So you want to be a sniper, be prepared to be very bored, you wont shoot much, but atleast you save money on ammo. Over all though if this is your first time in airsoft its much easier to learn the game with an auto electric gun, and not something from garbagesoftair.ca.

If you have your heart set on sniping thats fine, but be prepared to pay rediculous prices that I wont even begin to quote, 300 dollars is a laughable amount, expect two to three times that, but dont forget to factor in additional magazines, ammo, materials for upkeep such as lubbricants, clothing and additional attire like footwear and vests and holsters and last but not least and of course the most important item, eye protection. How you aquire your gear is up to you, either locally at surplus stores are online via ebay or other retailers. For your airsoft gun however, your very limited to where you can buy in Canada at this time, there are two online retailers, as of now, and as well this website has its own private sales area that is available only to those who have had their age verified to be 18 or older by volunteers of this website.

Here is the order I would follow if I started over.

1. Find a club.
2. Join a team.
3. Rent / borrow an AEG for each game. (My club rents out TM and CA for 20 bucks a day)
4. After deciding which team to join, buy camo and boots. Good boots.
5. After having the camo and boots and friends to play with. Figure out a role to play. Not all teams need a new sniper with a sub quality gun.
6. Buy a gun and whatever gear is need to fill your new team role.

Airsoft is a team sport.

I did the complete inverse of that, lol.

Also, sniping is horribly uneventful. Pack a lunch, wait a day, maybe you'll pop off a shot or two. On big fields, you can spend a day doing nothing more than recon and maybe only fire off five shots as a sniper.

If you're in it for the action, sniping should be your last choice.
